Can't understand why any STH would have wanted to miss that... the only reason can surely be the ticket price.

Are you serious? People obviously don't have a life other than football eh?

If we had only 10,000 sth we would have got 25,000 today, when the majority could pick and choose they would turn up for the big games but as sth they feel obliged to go to most league games and miss the extra game that has to be paid for:mad:

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
Must of been around 6,000 to 7,000:ohmy: A warning to the club that these could wander off as easily as they arrived, treat them well barber???

If you want to see the Albion regularly, then a season ticket is the best bet. Surely high individual prices would encourage one to keep their season ticket?

people pay the same amount to watch us play far worse teams than newcastle. i honestly cant see what the fuss is about. They didnt jack the prices up, they just kept them at the same rate as they do for every single other game played at the amex this season. do you think the services we use, i.e caterers, transport, electricity lower their prices based on who we play? no.

If you like football enough - and like your team enough - to buy a season ticket, then I would think football would be pretty important to you. Not being critical of anyone who didn't want to attend, especially given the prices, but the number surprised me.

then the match by match prices are too high ???

we have alot of fans with st this year who were armchair fans a couple of seasons ago ,don't be fooled by the great numbers at the moment,we need these numbers for a couple more seasons to make sure they get the albion fever!

I wouldn't like to say how many STH weren't there today, i'd guess from my observations more were absent then what has been guessed so far. I make this comment on the following assumption.
Rows of empty seats in the west upper, many regulars not present.
Loads of people at the bus stop for the football special with paper tickets and no idea what bus to get on (new fans are a good thing, this isn't a criticism)
The queue at the station immediately after final whistle was by far the biggest (both ways) i have ever seen, so many people didn't know the concourses were open after full time and so went straight to the station.
There was an atmosphere. More people trying to sing then normal. (magic of the cup?)
All of this would point to people going today who don't normally attend, the reasons why this may be have been covered elsewhere.
Me and the mrs as STH had a great day....
