My opinion - was a disappointing turnout even considering the train issues to Falmer. Not ridiculous at all - my opinion 👍

I think some are forgetting that there are always loads of STHers who don't go. Hasn't been an issue for a long while as the ticket exchange has been open regularly.

On top of that it's a school night. Particularly relevant if you live a long distance away.

Plus the train strike and expected chaos.

Nothing suprising or disappointing about the turnout imo.

Fair enough response - I just expected a few k more - but at least you just offered an opinion back rather than getting offended by my opinion - just felt a low bucks on seats - hopefully back to normal Sat 👍

or the Man City home win (where there were tickets available to anyone), the loyal home fans got a good night. It’s disappointing from some - support the lads.
Man City home win was limited to 8,000 fans sold out. If I remember rightly everyone who wanted to attend had to register were drawn into priority groups, my party were in group 4 and had no chance of tickets.

For tonight not only was there train strike, the roads were a nightmare. I took us over an hour to get to the park and ride site and then over an hour to get from the park and ride site to the stadium because of an accident, we got into the ground with less than 10 mins to kick off. I wouldn't have blamed anyone who turned around and went home given that chaos, I came close.

Also:

- Christmas party/event season.
- Live on a service most have access to, or can acquire cheaply.

If the ticket exchange had been open tonight, I may well have put my tickets up for sale and allowed the ticket exchange gods to decide my fate. If they'd sold, I'd have watched from home, if they hadn't, I'd have taken them back and gone.

What I do think, though, is Saturday will be a bumper crowd and a cracking atmosphere.

Of all the games to moan about empty seats, a cold midweek evening when there’s a train strike across the region, is surely the last one to pick. If I hadn’t manage to wangle a Seagull Travel Seat through a late cancellation, I couldn’t have got there from the other side of Eastbourne. On top of the wasted money on the unused ticket, and the disappointment of missing the game, the last thing I’d want is someone lecturing me on my non-attendance. Really, mind your own freakin' business. People have tough decisions to make. I could have got to the Falmer area via 3 buses from where I live but the chances of getting back the same way after the game were non-existent.

You remember incorrectly i was in group 4 and it was the only one I could go to. I couldn’t even sit next to my own husband. Different rows, with an empty row in between and alternate seat numbers, all wearing masks.
When we scored the winning goal, he rushed down to hug me, but fortunately the steward wasn’t looking.

I’m upset I couldn’t go tonight, as my husband went to work with a stinking cold, and went to bed as soon as he’d had something to eat. I struggle with arthritis now, and can’t make it, if he’s not with me.
I dont like you accusing fans of not being bothered, especially when you have false memories of Withdean, and lockdown games.

Were you there tonight? If so, tell us how heroic you were getting there.

as a season ticket holder with few loyalty points I was never given the option to buy

Knew I was right on this so even bothered to find it - Albion+ holders got tickets and there were loads left after P4 - 100%:

I'm a My Albion+ member, and have had an email telling me that tickets are available. Thought they would have sold out to season ticket holders before getting to my level.

Just thought I’d randomly check... Loads of tickets available!

Told you Daz

Actually convinced I was right so thought I’d check and confirm it which I was - didn’t sell out to STH:

Of course, ignore the ‘some have genuine reasons’ bit 🤣 I think when the grounds 2/3rds full is a good time to point it out - cold? 🤣🤦🏻‍♂️

Points scoring over the attendance in the middle of a pandemic, pathetic.

Eh?

You said:

‘Man City home win was limited to 8,000 fans sold out. If I remember rightly everyone who wanted to attend had to register were drawn into priority groups, my party were in group 4 and had no chance of tickets.’

And I just proved that incorrect?! How is that pathetic?

Spot the ‘likes’ who couldn’t be arsed to attend on nsc 🤣

my opinion i was amazed so many were insider it looked between 20k to 25k perhaps in the middle there. It was a stack of hassle getting there and i wouldnt be surprised if the real bums on seats inside the Amex was known it was that low. Well done everyone however you follow the club i dont judge you or regard you any more or less a fan whether you came in person tonight watched on Amazon or otherwise. Thanks to you all because it would have been a dull atmosphere inside on my own and had I watched on Amazon it wouldve looked and felt weird seeing noone inside.

I'm pretty sure an Amazon Prime stream of Brighton v Brentford won't have added 'millions' to the viewing figures. A few more tens of thousands, perhaps.
It was show in 9 different areas in the world as listed in the match thread. Australia, USA, Indonesia, Canada etc.
I‘m fairly sure a few Japanese watch when Mitoma is playing.

Can you imagine if it was Burnley last night? You know, midweek, train strike, cold, on telly, burnley.
There would have been an echo
