Can't see them getting all of them back as that would knock one of the top two teams out of auto promotion, but I do reckon they will get enough to make the points gained or lost from the next 3 games irrelevant.

If it would knock one of the top teams out of auto promotion, how is that any more or less fair to the teams chasing the last play off spot?

It's not, but it would be way more controversial to deny a team guaranteed promotion rather than denying a team the chance of promotion and I can't see the powers that be letting that happen because the whole thing is a f***ed up farce already.. I'm am not advocating it btw,I'd like to see them whacked with a further 5 points for taking the piss and challenging of the system that they agreed to in the 1st place.

I would suggest that the FL take a leaf out of LDC and Falmer's book on this occasion.....much as I hate to condone the tactics......

delay, delay and more delay....by which time the situation would be so
irretrievable/expensive/involved/irrelevant that the problem disappears.

It nearly worked for those disgraceful *little* people - because that is what
they are, in LDC and Falmer PC.

...I dont understand why people think they will get a portion of their points back. Leeds are contesting the legality of the points deduction. The deduction will either be deemed illegal so they will get all their points back....or it will be deemed within the league's remit...therefore things will stay as they are.

Where are people getting this idea that they will get a portion back?

we will get a portion back if the fl make a deal with bates outside of the arbitration.

I read a piece by a leading sports lawyer and I tend to side with him over Talksport. From my own understanding from this article and reading Ken Bates many utterings on the case Mr Bates is challenging the legality..... therefore logically it is an all-or-nothing case. It cannot be deemed illegal to dock them points and reduce the amount docked....as again this will be illegal.

talksport are wrong.

the arbitration is not ruling on whether 15 points was the right punishment they are ruling on whether the fl acted within it's rule book in deducting points. how many points they deducted is not the primary issue.

deserve them back? legally we did nothing to deserve having them taken from us. morally is a different story but the football pyramid doesn't work on morals.

Didn't you forget something important like the CVA and sign the agreement regarding the golden share?

nope. a cva is not law and the agreement regarding the golden share was akin to a forced confession on death row. it has been discarded from this weeks arbitration for pretty much that reason.

legally, we did nothing to have a 15 point deduction enforced. the fl have been unable to tell leeds, or any other clubs, our legal team or even their legal team which rule it was.

also, your pal with his wo? he is spinning you a line.

he is spinning you a line, honestly.

yes we did, just as the fl had the option not to dish out punishments for offences that do not exist.

The FA have nothing to do with this.

The FL do and can, but unfortunately for them they haven't changed the rule book from this time last year.
