(or, indeed, expects the Spanish Inquisition)
Ha, I wish. Flattered again.

I genuinely didn’t know what these words mean. I wish I had your literacy skills, I really do 😍

ps was referring to @Triggaaar’s comment btw so don’t feel offended

”I know that no one likes a smartarse, but all 16 so far.”

I don’t mind smart arses at all, in fact I am often rather impressed by them - I like clever people. :lolol:

Pfui. My literary skills are a few long words I picked up reading Private Eye, back in the day when I could read a tiny font.

I first realised my sight was changing when I had to buy a pair of those cheap reading glasses so I could continue reading Private Eye. Then I started wearing them to read books, then reports at work, and so it goes on.........(that's a different pair to the ones I need to drive / watch telly with of course)!

Well based on your posts on NSC I would say it gave you a very decent handle on the English language old chap - you have a clever/witty way with using your words too! 🙂

Re vision - my distant vision use to be very good, wore glasses for reading since 15 but now I get intermittent double or blurred vision with distant or near distances which is a nuisance. The mild dyslexia doesn’t help with words jumping around and not staying in their own lane

Only read my Brother’s hand me down Private Eyes - I was an avid NME reader back in the day although not so much a fan of Julie Birchill.
