actually got in numerous good positions last night. aside from the obvious incompetence from the VAR, which gets worse and worse every week, what i saw was us being incredibly wasteful again. few times there was a great overlapping pass on down the right, but veltman was entirely too slow and lost it. at one point pedro did a great flick on, groß was in behind, but again, was moving at about one mile an hour and lost it. and then adingra came on, he offers a lot of energy however his final ball needs so much improvement and he always has a tendency to take one extra touch than needed. and then for the rest of the game we were unable to get out of our own defensive third because we had 8 men committed to the first phase of the buildup, for some crackpot tactical reason.

our only decent wingers have been out for ages, our prodigal teenage wonderkid has forgotten how to play football, our midfield (the most important part of our buildup play) was ripped apart in the summer and really poorly replaced, our manager looks like he’s out of ideas, and we’re playing right now with a team of past-it pensioners and sub-par players who need moved on at the earliest opportunity. no f***ing wonder we’re not scoring

There was a tweet doing the rounds yesterday saying that the last Brighton player to score apart from Welbeck was 61 days ago. It's going to 64, but will it go further?
