Why are some people so desperate to bin off Moder? Just back from a serious injury, and not up to full speed yet, and an excellent player before his injury. Let's see how he does next season!
Because people want SUCCESS NOW!

Rather than accept that somebody who looked a top class player had a horrendous injury and didn't kick a ball for two years might not be able to get back to the standard he had spent two decades perfecting in just a few months. Let's just bin him off and spunk £40 million on someone else and hope for the best.

I’m not disputing he is an excellent player and needs a good pre-season.

However, I just don’t think he is a De Zerbi type player sadly. If De Zerbi leaves, I’d change my view.

It’s a huge transfer window for the club that’s approaching, one that asks Bloom whether he really wants to pursue the ambition of the “next step”.

We’ve been in Europe but have fallen off this season due to injuries but also inadequate replacements of key players we lost last summer.

My question now is how many do we really need in - first of all we have to get our current players fit - but some of the injuries we know are complicated and could take time.

It’s my opinion that we need 6 providing the unlikely circumstance of deniz undav returning and playing his part, happens.

New rb (Hinshelwood injured/young and making his way, veltman solid, lamptey injury prone - we need a standout right back)

New Lcb:

A natural left footer - better and more athletic then Igor - someone to complement JPVH/dunk

A LB - to compete/stick a rod up pervis’s arse while Barca plays EVERY week on loan to help him develop

2 new cm/dm

A ready and firing caicedo/bissouma type who baleba can learn off and can win the ball for us - crucial for RDZ’s Albion of 22/23 /

Another centre mid in the same mould who can provide cover - again should baleba go on loan if not ready?

A right winger - the links with nico Gonzalez are tantalising yet excruciating - all of these inconsistent yet talented left wing options yet we have no one to play on the right

If undav gets his way and stays in Germany we also need a striker - can rely on the lack of goals we’ve had from CF again - need another option / if only we hadn’t sold Gyokeres for like 8 million 😤😤😤
Is it just me that finds referring to our owner as "Bloom" a bit disrespectful?

The only reason would be so Leicester could balance their FFP books by the end of June and not get deducted up to 10 points next season. He is homegrown so offers huge value for them in terms of FFP. For this reason, his departure has been heavily mooted in the press.

But that was the case back in January (when Leicester were by no means guaranteed promotion). The club obviously decided that they weren't over the FFP threshold and didn't need to sell; so why should they be now?

I take it little interest in press reports on FFP; I remember reading countless ones about how Chelsea were in trouble if they didn't make Europe and yet they were nowhere near breaching the threshold.

We couldn't get KDH in January when he was playing in the Championship, for a team that was stuttering. Why on earth would he leave his boyhood club now they're in the Prem (and he's, presumably, on more dosh)?

Yup, he doesn't want to leave, and if he is to be persuaded I'm sure it will take a big club to do so.

We almost got him apparently. Leicester decided it was more important to get promoted to the Premier League with the best player in the Championship playing for them and then to sort FFP issues out in June. Seems perfectly logical to me. 😐

I don’t think this changes the narrative at all.

KDH’s intention has always been to stay and Leicester City’s intention has always been to keep him. However, in terms of the clubs plans, the intention to avoid an FFP points deduction might trump the desire to keep their best player.

If we are buying, Geertruida at Feyenoord would be awesome, as recommended by Hugo Rune in January I think.
23 years old, quick, plays preferably at right back, but also left back, centre back and defensive midfield, and scores a few. Would be fantastic for us, but with Arne Slot going to Anfield, there is a good chance Liverpool will be in for him.

Didn't Chelsea have to sell a hotel, to the parent company, to make the numbers work?
