I went to Uganda last week which was number 50 for me. My faves so far have been Iceland and Thailand I reckon. I made a promise to myself about 7 years ago to go to at least 4 new countries every year, I am racking them up:

2013 I did Finland, Estonia, Russia, Kenya, Thailand, Cambodia, Greece and Turkey.

So far this year - South Africa, Uganda, Tanzania and off to Zambia, Botswana and Zimbabwe next month

Teaching at a British International school. One of the reasons I took the job was specifically to see more of Africa. This time next year my contract ends and I will go somewhere new, not sure where yet but options include Malaysia, UAE or Mexico

We did this thread fairly recently, and I think I totted it up to about 30 / 35.

My favourites, apart from England (its home, so impossible to really compare with anywhere else), are Iceland and Australia. I've spent a total of about 3 months in each altogether (all for work), across 8 and 4 trips respectively, and have never failed to be impressed by the places and the people. Despite being spectacularly different, in terms of landscape and climate, the people of those two countries have a lot in common, in terms of personality. Both engaging, open, friendly and helpful - the Icelandic people unfailingly so.

Cuba is top of my wish list. I want to go there before it changes too much. Should probably try and get to Maldives before it sinks too!!
