Don't know about the players but I've been living in a Wardy Wonderland since 1976.

Pretty sure Wardy lived in North Lane, Portslade. Me and my sister went to his house one balmy summers evening in 78 or 79 and got his autograph. Though it was nicer than the part of Portslade we lived in, it was no Wonderland.
