Judgeing by the reaction, it would appear Poyet is completely untouchable..and above any form of criticism at this club...To much power in the hands of one man is a very dangerous thing people....This is Blooms project,if he thinks his investment is in trouble then he will act.

Sorry, that doesn't make sense.

We - the fans - might consider him, as you put it 'untouchable'. That doesn't follow he has too much power; Tony is the one in charge, not the fans.

Believe you me, Tony is at heart a businessman and is used to making difficult decisions EVERY DAY in his multi million empires. If he decided it was time to change the manager he will. HOWEVER it wont be for a long, long time.

Dont you belive it. Poyet is building his little empire down here and what he says goes. Now im not saying thats a bad thing but dictators in any walk of life tend to ultimately fail.

Gus has too much in the bank to be sacked this year whatever happens, however IF we stop playing tippy tappy footie next year and IF we are bottom of league 1 at Xmas....then I might start to think that a change is needed.

However, I just can't see us going down this year. Yes we are having a wobble, but it's just the team adjusting to the higher level. It's going to take time, and Gus would have learnt more in these last 7 games about his team than in the first 5.

The players he is brining in are better than what we have, and this will continue.

Mid table this year

Play offs next year

Automatic promotion the following year.

You heard it here first :guitar:

Whatever......just saying Poyet stubbornes and his dictator attitude can be an asset,it could also be his undoing....He is a young manager and is still learning,if he dowe not become more adaptable he wil always be at a disadvantage to more experenced managers.

How many managers have we got through in the past 15 years? Gus is learning, he'll make mistakes, but his brand of football is exactly what we want and it's simply a question of recruiting the personnel to use it to full effect. He got it right in League 1 and he'll get it right in the Championship, and probably the Prem after that. The club will give him leeway to make the odd tactical blunder and the occasional duff signing because the wider project is much, much bigger than the occasional winless run. Let other clubs press the panic button. We're building something special here.
