Me too. Warboys and Bannister were on fire that season though. 28 games unbeaten from the start of the season (and still didn't win the league!).
Me too. Still have the match programme!

Up to about the 7th. goal, I was always thinking we could get back into it - it was just unfortunate that every time they hoofed the ball up to Bruce (?) and Bannister, they scored!

Edit: Yes, of course it was Warboys and Bannister!

Playing this style, knowing that the defenders are slow is suicide.
Does he not watch them in training ?
Brainwashed himself into giving them super powers.
The first half was an absolute horror show !
He should watch the replay of it a few times as therapy.

There's a lot of billious tripe on here at the moment, to much of it from from Seemingly entitled old codgers who really should know better.
Which reminds me, I need to book a restaurant for next week.

Just ridiculous to even be having a conversation about the manager’s position.

We’re not that trigger happy kind of club. Even if we were, we’ve only had a few games and he’s just lost his first one. I can’t see any situation where we sack FH this season.

What if we’re bottom, you may sneer? Well we won’t be. We’ve got some very good players. I’m still anticipating a 10th ish finish. Not a chance we’re even in a relegation fight.

And ignore the matchday threads. The standard of bedwetting is incredible. I kind of understand it. It’s the emotions doing the talking. People are just using the thread as a convenient vent. That’s ok. Most are talking about things much more sensibly, if not on here, in the cold light of day

In the field
I'm mildly concerned at this point. The litmus test is whether he tweaks the approach for the next two games, both of which are against teams who are also lightening-fast on the counter attack. IF he doesn't tweak things and IF we were to get thrashed in both, I'd be upgrading to very worried.
