First thing I thought was that it was odd about the timing until I saw the E/T bit. Fair play to the guy for understanding their culture and stopping the game. Not sure if the lack of crowd was caused by the call to prayer or if it is just not a very popular game

It looked a bit awkward for the ref near the end. Wanting to blow the whistle but didn't and wanted to start the game before the prayer stopped but players didn't.

When you are not really a traditional football nation and the game is played in ridiculous heat, who would want to go and watch a game anyway ?.....Obviously this does not apply to Qatar.....
