Yes, when it happened thats precisely what I thought it was, the way he immediately started waving his arms towards the bench, and with the pig racing out of his goal to comfort him.

On the subject of TK racing out to him, from our players only Bruno went over to Liam, plus Bobby had a word on the way off the pitch, the rest all went over to the bench.

My initial thought was broken foot/metatarsal('s). I did mine in very, very, very similar circumstances 10 and a half years ago.

Guess or inside info? If this injury is bad would it be overreacting to suggest it could derail our season until a replacement can be found in January? Calde is a lovely bloke but he is not good enough to be LB for a table topping team...IMO.

I think we'll be OK vs Charlton with Calde at left-back but Derby is a different proposition. For that match I'd go 4-5-1 with Ince covering the centre back and let Dunk double up with Calde out wide left.

I mentioned it at the time and watched for it on the FL show yo confirm my thoughts that their goal came about by Liam Rosenior being caught out of position in the middle of the goal leaving he man wide on the right. A left footed left back would have been out wider and squared up to the wide man. Is this the first mistake by Liam?

You need to watch the move again. Rosenior wasn't caught out of position, he moved across to cover for Greer who had been left stranded because he pushed up on the back of their player who played a lovely first time flick and took him out of the equation.

He's not exactly one-footed though, is he - that centre that March eventually smashed home was with his left foot. Far better than my best foot ever was!

I really hope he is back before Christmas. An absolutely brilliant signing, a real team player, all round good-egg and so versatile. Calde won't let us down in the meantime, certainly against Charlton we should be fine.

I was doing light stuff 2-3 weeks after the cast came off, which was on for 4 weeks. Amazing how much muscle wastage you get from just 4 weeks.

Wasn't back full training until another 3 weeks after that (although my training was for hurdling).

It's the exact reason he is here to cover situations like this. It's him or chicken and I would rather have calde's nouce and experience. We will be fine.

I think this has come across wrong I am not saying LR was totally to blame for their goal but was caught out of position that possibly an orthodox left back wouldnt have been.
