I’d be gutted, and I’m not as confident as others it won’t happen. As much as I hope Potter has the morals not to go there, he was also a professional footballer and will want to win things. This might be his best shot at a Champions League level club, and the ‘project’ might appeal to him, if you take at face value all the PR guff from the consortium about a long term project. In short, I’m worried.

I don’t believe it will be his best shot myself.

If and when GP leaves us it will be for a better situation than Newcastle.

The players and manager will pick up the millions undertake their usual token gesture at the start of the game and then carry on. As much as I can't see most of that being true - most of that is likely to be real, if not for GPott then it's a quandary landing in the lap of someone.

No one knows that apart from GP.

I don’t think that’s the main deciding factor, I think it is more that GP and BHAFC have made a long term commitment to each other, they share a common vision and goal. That is what would upset me more if GP decided to tear that up based on those instant success whores.

Anyway that job is going to be a poison chalice for a while - they’re not getting into Europe for next season (not even top 10 IMO) so will not be able to get the real top players yet, the following season their manager will be expected to mount a challenge for top 6 at the very least. Manager wise they’ll be a northern Watford.
They are not as strong on the pitch as City were when they won the lottery.

Just getting an appointment to see my GP has been difficult, especially during the pandemic. But if they moved to Newcastle, I think I'd have to look for a different surgery altogether, the round trip would be ridiculous.

Panic is a bit strong

I was invested in Chris Cattlin and Gus until he went rogue so I have history here! The aftermath of both was a fecking disaster compared to where we were when they got the boot, so let’s just say I don’t think TB is the Messiah, although I wouldn’t change him for any other chairman.

I am however convinced that we will be taking a few backward steps if GP goes in the near future.
