Yep football died the day all seater stadiums came and Sky put the final nail in the coffin, from then on it was just all about money - higher entrance prices ('because you have a seat now'), ridiculous wages and greedy players who care nothing for the clubs, the atmosphere is crap at most grounds, the fans who built the game are dwindling, kids aren't interested because of lack of atmosphere, prices and can watch it on TV (no atmosphere/excitement so why pay £30 to watch) - Unfortunately because so many people around the world think the 'prem' is the mutt's nuts it will take the credit crunch to really bite before enough people cancel their sky subscriptions to change he situation - the standing issue is up to the fans - DON'T SIT.
