This is to be welcomed especially if he has some commercial nous to put bums on seats which is more than the current commercial team seem to be able to do.

Is it the MD's job to win a popularity competition?

Abort, retry, fail
Probably, if he wants to run the club well. I can't imagine fans turning up in their droves if the MD is an unpopular rascal.

Didn't he oversee their second most successful period, when they got into Europe? I have a feeling he jumped ship as the board were difficult to work with. Six managers in two years would suggest that was the case...

25p to tell me that. Tomorrow I'll no doubt be told Jake Robinson has had hair extensions fitted at Pee Wee's in Kensington Gardens.

Like other posters, I would like to know more about Ken Brown, before I get too excited. Millwall,s messageboard has yet to say anything positive about him......worrying.
As far as Martin Perry being "moved".......thank god for that. I have often mentioned that he was a "planning expert" for a new stadium,.....not a Chief Exexcutive.
I await with interest,to see if Mr. Brown has any positive ideas for encouraging new and old supporters back to the club.

Suprised they didnt offer the job to Paul Samrah as a thank you for his efforts in getting Falmer, after all he is an acoountant and therefore well versed in finance, which is what we will need.

Bear in mind that Millwall have done chuff all in recent seasons, one streaky FA Cup run aside.

When we have a few crap games, people are queuing up on here to complain about Dick Knight & Martin Perry. Millwall have had a whole lot of crap games, therefore they need someone to blame, why not Brown? Alongside any other prominent director. That's football.

May as well give the guy a go eh, after all, we didn't much like the thought of Steve Gritt coming in once ("Grit beleives Beloti bulshit" springs to mind).

That said, after a few weeks in the job and some well-planned public schmoozing by the failed MP, I thought Bellotti was great. How wrong we can be.

Quite. Seeing as you're someone who knows Martin Perry's day-to-day job intimately, and who sees him every day in his office, it gives you the insight to judge how he performs on a daily basis. Therefore, I'm glad you're pleased with this 'move'.
