I think we will do really well however expect difficulties in the January Transfer window as Orlandi and Buckley will be hot stuff by then and bids will fly in.

Orlandi wasn't with us at this stage last year either.

Absolutely. I was looking at players who have left but Orlandi, Upson and Ulloa of the current squad weren't here (although we still had Noone). Overall, I would say we have a stronger squad currently than we started the season with last year, with left back being the only significantly weakened position.

I am shocked at a vote for a relegation battle, what has changed that could make us go from auto promotion form at the end of last season to relegation? I accept Poyet was good but to dismiss what Oscar might bring to the team before a ball has been kicked is mental imo

Who could have predicted in summer 1991 that we would be fighting a relegation battle next after a promotion push? Not saying the club is anything like what it was in 1991, but many things defy the predictable, such as Palace's promotion after several seasons of slumming it in the lower half of the Championship. In other words, anything can happen!

In fairness, 1991 wasn't that hard to believe. We did lose Small and Byrne and our play off place had been a bit of a freak as we had a minus goal difference.

I think only Bolton and Forrest have made significant improvements to their squads, everyone else looks similar to last season.
I think we'll take the title this season. We were good last year and if we didn't have a crazy few months were we drew almost every game we would have gone straight up. We will finish 1st and by a bigger margin than when we won league 1
