I refer the honourable gentleman to a PM you sent me a few weeks ago!

I think for me this confirms you are either two people using the same account or you have a split personality?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Funnily enough, he used to post under (at least) two different user names sometimes in the same thread. Strange chap, often quite reasonable then goes full-on abusive troll. Did you know he claims to be a 'key worker' ... although he hardly ever mentions it :D

Thanks to Boris telling us to keep alert as the ongoing battle to get Covid-19 done rages, when I went out to my local shop first thing to pick up my copy of The Times of London for tonight and a bottle of Merlot to have with breakfast, I was so alert that I saw the invisible enemy itself coming down the road toward me before it did. I was then able to quickly hide the other side of a parked car, observing 2 metres social distancing from it at all times, whilst the invisible enemy went past and on it's way somewhere else.

Thanks to Boris the Fighter's SAGE advice, I'm here to tell the tale unscathed.

It must have been like this in the war, when people were cowering under their DFS kitchen tables hearing the bombs The Lufthansa were dropping, then hearing one whistle right toward them, only for it to land 4 doors down on Mr & Mrs Holmesdale at number 73 instead.

Keep Alert. Save The NHS. Protect The Shops.

I know that you are being very witty and clever with this, but please bear in mind that Lufthansa have never dropped any bombs on us, or anyone for that matter . .

Yes, strange chap indeed. He can be abusive and then at times claims he doesn't insult anyone . .

It's not Boris but the general government overall has in my view been just below average and just above poor. Many mistakes have been made and to be honest although unprecedented times in comparison to our European counterparts we should of learnt more from them that were a week or 2 ahead of us. As with British public I think we've handled it better than the government. As in a different thread I think the majority of us have been super in our sticking to the rules donating to NHS and helping the vulnerable/essential workers etc etc

Whilst you are right in that the majority does heed the advice, a significant minority doesn't and I strongly suspect that this must be one of the reasons that the death remains stubbornly high, though reducing of course. My wife and I walk each morning and EVERY day we have to detour as folk coming the other way have no intention of observing social distancing. Yesterday we moved aside with our dog and the people seemed perplexed asking if your dog was aggressive .

How sweet.

Back to the task in hand. Absolutely insane that only now, in week 9 or so of lockdown are plans revealed to quarantine inbound air passengers.

And the oaf is hiding. Again. Beggars belief.

Seriously.

Has anyone seen him?

He turns up once a week?

Are they hiding him away to distance him from this mess?

Probably out clapping last night ?

To be honest I’m glad he’s not doing the daily press conferences, hopefully he’s doing some real work. Patel is absolutely useless, but at least whilst she’s answering the latest inane question from a journalist she’s not ****ing anything else up.

He revealed back on May 10th that it would soon be time to initiate a quarantine when transmission and the R rate are lower. This isnt a surprise.

Yes he revealed 8 weeks into lockdown. So much better. People have been flying into the U.K. unhindered for weeks . He’s got this. :)

Maybe he should have stopped everyone flying into the UK immediately, seems overly draconian to me. There would have been a huge stink from UK nationals moaning they couldnt get home and other countries would have been miffed considering we agreed to take part in the EU repatriation scheme of flying EU nationals and nationals of the other countries that took part, home to Europe and elsewhere from all over the place.

I take your point but not quarantining or testing (I don’t think they were being tested?) people arriving in the UK is a bit slack, imo.
Mate went to Spain 2nd week of March and was put straight into 14 day quarantine over there but got a flight back to U.K. after 7 days. Just able to come straight in, no testing, no quarantine. It was before lockdown but she was coming back from an infection hotbed and nobody even questioned her UK side. Strange.

Had family fly back to the States on the first day of their Airport measures, they had to fly to New York instead of original destination to have a test which consisted of a thermometer gun of some description. Because they had visited one of the countries on the danger list they were told to isolate at home for 14 days (after getting another internal flight) even though they had no symptoms. I couldn’t see how anyone was actually going to check on them but in fairness to them they thought it was the responsible thing to do.
No one ever checked they were complying.

I suppose you can’t logistically police everyone .

Like me, she's been putting on the beef in recent years but, despite that, she really does have a pretty face. And yet, she's managed to make herself so utterly repulsive. Her AND Gavin Williamson :wozza:

Not the weekend you were saying then. Any updates on your bullcrap story about Stanley travelling to see his grandchild that same weekend?

When I posted it he had been seen in Durham but there was no link to the news, so I said it was gossip and rumour. Now being investigated by police.

No doubt the Stanley travel will emerge sooner or later.

‘tis a shame it’s taken this long for anyone to give much of a shit about the surcharge. I doubt many people even knew it existed a month ago. I fully expect general ignorance of matters to do with the NHS and other key-workers to resume in a few months .

I saw someone say this week that it appears promising to enforce draconian anti-immigration rules is way more popular than actually doing it, this appears to be a case in point.

No it wont, because the facebook or twitter post you believed was made up.
Why dont you post the extract about Stanley on here.......if you can find it.
