Nothing quite beats a nice steaming hot mug of tea, but how do you take yours? An American scientific study claimed the perfect brew is with a pinch of salt and a squeeze of lemon to remove the scum. Incredibly most Americans MICROWAVE their tea.

Yeah but it takes 10 hours to boil any water.

My boss has earl grey with specific instructions to fill water to halfway, take the teabag out more or less straight away then fill with milk. Basically milky hot water, makes me feel a bit sick when I'm doing a tea round.

For me, 2 mins of brewing time and a squeeze of the bag with the back of the teaspoon, a 'dash' of milk and a proper stir.

With milk, no sugar. Brew for 3 minutes and then add milk until it's the colour of toffee.
