How do you pronounce Gus Poyet?

That's French so it Mo-ay. Poyet is South American so it's Spanish-Poy-ett. Johnny Cantor (or was it Hawes then?) confirmed this on Gus' first game, having asked the man himself.

Nevertheless Poyet remains Poy-ett, unless someone is going to tell me Gus comes from a French speaking region of Uruguay (which nobody ever told him).

Posh-ette is correct. Poy-ett has become accepted in England and is fine. Poy-ay, which is what most fans sing, is plain wrong. It's sad we can't get our own manager's name correct.
