How do you have to DRESS at work ?

shirt tie etc monday-thursday, dress down on friday unless clients are in. Previous company was the same but had strict rules on friday on no t-shirts or shirts with slogans so basically left you with same as normal top half, but you could wear jeans and trainers. so glad I left there for many reasons

If at HQ and seeing customers, then suit, but dont have to wear ties.

If at other sites just working generally, then casual, but not jeans.

If from Working from home, a house coat and slippers

I went to work yesterday wearing my bog-standard light blue shirt and Gap trousers (the ones cut like jeans that are in fact proper trousers).

Nice one. In need to stop wearing my jeans to work really so am on the look out for stuff like these. They seem to fit the bill.

In the office, "business casual" which I've usually taken to mean dark trousers of some description (from 'slacks' to combats, whatevers washed and dried), a short sleeve shirt and skate shoes.

Out on site, its a safety uniform (!! - I work in IT....) of snickers trousers, steel toed boots, a polo shirt and a fleece. The latter two things branded to oblivion. Rarely have to go out on site though.

I crunch numbers with a computer. I wear anything from a suit when meeting people to t-shirt and jeans when in the office to my underpants when I'm working at home.

I rarely wear a tie though. This is not an act of rebelion....no one seems to in my industry these days.
