As I am now officially as of today an OAP, having applied for my Old Age Pensioner Bus Pass and looking at a Old Persons Railcard,( and paying the reduced old persons rate at the Albion) I feel my username needs to reflect my somewhat melancholy mood now I am no longer middle aged.

I would like therefore to change it and can’t see anywhere we can do it?

many thanks

Have you decided what it's going to be, or can we have nominations, seconders, group stages all building towards a grand final
god no…that would be too indulgent and would lead to “ look at me bollocks”

all I want to do is Change the name with no dramas

Dave the OAP has a good ring to it.

Rather than change your username, you should change your attitude towards the onset of maturity. Being a senior member of society is a great privilege, and brings with it countless benefits, despite inching closer to oblivion.

Brighton factually.....
I asked Bozza a few days ago the very same question with my new required name, either he has ignored it or very busy, I will go with very busy for the time being.

Yes, this is going to be a little bit of a bottleneck.

Bozza's the only one who can do it. Bozza's mum needs almost constant care from him.

I will, however, chase up on our whatsapp group and mention Dave the OAP.

Happy OAP day!

It’s not all great, I was thoroughly depressed (as well as being very grateful) when a young chap offered me his seat on the Underground a few months ago on a packed tube. I thanked him but refused, it made me feel old and frail though

I'm at the stage where I get on a bus and people offer me their seat.

I'm not so keen when it happens in lavatories though.

:lolol: see my post above yours
Happened to me on a bus ten years ago. Young boy offered me his seat. Didn't know whether to pat him on the head or slap him. I quietly declined.

Congratulations on this great day, if you're struggling for paying for your heating this winter, might be worth call lord Alli, he has plenty to chuck about.

You've already created the drama by starting the thread. We all demand a naming contest.

I'll nominate Davey McDaveface

I find the thing that makes me feel old and frail is when playing football, and of those sprightly young over 50's comes crashing through you from behind
