Just been booked then body checked Noone who had beaten him. Free kick given but the referee didn'g get the second yellow out. Ridiculous decision.

At first I didn't realise it was the same player for both challenges. I thought they were going to take turns to take noone out, but on realising they were both Halford, I was surprsed he didn't go. Ben Haim was also lucky to last the game.

I was also surprised we didn't utilise it and run at halford more.

I think that in both instances the ref gave the full backs a final warning that next time would be a 2nd yellow, good refereeing by him. The most disappointing thing from our view was that having been booked we didn't attack the full backs. More should have been made of a ball from Greer over the top for Buckley and Noone to run on to and attack the backs on the run.

How was it good refereeing? Both were clearly challenges deserving a yellow card, so both should have walked.

I think the ref was giving then the benefit of the doubt having just booked them rather than send them off for a rash 30 seconds for tackles that were not dangerous. I thought the ref did very well yesterday, although most Prem managers slate him.

Ben Haim even hugged the referee after his two footed lunge on Noone in the second half.

I suppose the ref was being generous, but really that second challenge was a yellow card and Ben haim was extremely fortunate to survive, he should have walked for that.

They might not have been dangerous but the second was the most blatant and malsicious foul you'll ever see.

agree - but i am sure we all looked at Dean to see what he was he ghana do

Then why bring it up? He didn't not give it to even up not sending their players off, he didn't give it because it wasn't a foul. Doing something you're supposed to doesn't even up not doing something different you should have done earlier.

Thought the ref had a good game. Didn't see the fouls that clearly being in the NS but watched back on the football league show. Thought Halford got lucky, and Ben Haim tackle was nasty.

because refs are human - and i am sure that when they are not 100% sure of what happened the decision will be influenced by others they have made during the game. not consciously - but they are all split second decisions so i believe it must have an effect. blimey - it's not as if there is a law that says every thread on here has to stay smack on the topic of the OP.

Perhaps your manager didn't whine and moan as much as he normally does? Perhaps the ref only thought No One deserved a 5.1 for the dive and roll?
Perhaps the referee had difficulty tuning in to the high pitch of your crowd......certainly those of listeing on the radio couldn't hear a peep from you 'boyz'

You're missing the point (no surprise there then) that it was a foul ans should have been a booking.
