I thought that he showed that the need to spend stupid money on a cover No 10 for SB for perhaps 20 mins at the end of game is not really a necessity. If he gets injured or suspended it perhaps becomes more urgent.so perhaps an older cheaper cover like Keane is the answer for this season. Offer him a 6 month contract with the chance of an extension and see how it goes.

It's good to see Towell doing well, but we don't really know how he could do in the league if called upon (for a long stint, not the odd 20 mins). Primarily it's the cover Baldock in case he gets injured. Hemed/Murray can handle the last 20 minutes of a game if necessary.

Imagine if Baldock got injured - how confident could we be of staying in the top 2? It's not a risk worth taking, we need cover.
