I suppose we all believed being captain of Spurs reserves he should be a good player.

I refuse to pass judgement yet given previous players earlier performances.

Yes, look at me sneakily peeking out from behind my PC to mouth the words "you are shit" at JP. I feel naughty - should i feel guilty though, simply because i can type? If i had a job that would be a pre-requisite (typing), much like most people would imagine kicking a ball straight and actually moving your overpaid, over pampered arse after 12 months of doing f*** all would be part of a pro-footballers job. But like he said, he doesnt really like playing on the right wing. Part of a work to rule i assume. Cant be many more excuses:( :( :(

He also kept drifting out of position and coming infield taking away the teams width on the right. Stayed back when he should have been going forward. Didn't look fit or committed to me either. He did however show glimpses of class with his passing, the best being an inch perfect ball to Knight's feet which put him through. Harsh to say it on one appearance but the questions raised about his attitude looked as they they could be true.

how can you sum up how piercy played, this should do the trick.
the team come back on for the 2nd half and some bloke behind says has piercy come on and has it pointed out to him that he had been on from the start.
i thought it was a very dissappointing performance even if he was playing out of position this was his chance to grab a spot in the team and he let himself down but better luck next time

I saw his debut against Rotherham last season and he looked reasonable in what was a very poor Albion side. Since then he has scored regularly for the reserves, but there have been rumours about his 'attitude' in training and some of his refuelling habits are not what you expect from a professional athlete.

Looks as if he is going to piss away his talent and spend the majority of his career in the Conference. It's a shame, but it will be his choice as if he puts in the effort he can do better

He played poorly but was out of position. For any player to be effective they have to be given time and a run in the side. I remember this website going overboard in the critictism of McPhee when he first broke into side...That has all changed now...

At work - probably
I agree I was disappointed in his performance - but you do have to bear in mind; a) he was out of position and b) hasn't played much in the way of first team football in the last two years.

Having said that Marney looked more hungry.

I wasd well impressed with Zesh though - a better version of Junior Lewis - he was almost Viera-like in the midfield.

Hate to put the knife in, but: he was shite! I've seen him a few times for the reserves plus a couple appearances as sub for the first team. I've never thought him anything else than very average. Like others, I've never quite understood why there was a campaign on here to play him in the first team......
