Not great - i was a little dissapointed. He got substituted for Marney just after half time.

I was hoping for big things, but he didn't seem to get forward enough, wasn't quick enough and didn't get in enough crosses. Not a patch on Hart i'm afraid. Maybe just a bad game?????

He wasn't pleased with his performance, and nor was I to be honest. Didn't really get in to the game. Zesh loooked class though, very good movement and a classic midfield general in the making.

He is rubbish - and pleasingly so - i have to say the most annoying thing this season has been the bleating to play Piercy.

Now he has played - and was shit.

Felt for Piercy, but couldn't square his performance with what he said after the game that he would like to have done. Showing some form of aggression, even if you are out of position, will at least show people that you care. Substitution is really teastement to this - given his chance at last, but sadly blew it.

Zesh was great though and did a sort of Junior Lewis role.

Looked less than fully fit or committed. I was really pleased to see that he was being given his chance but, later on, very pleased to see him taken off

Didn't fare very well at all.

Struggled to make an impact and during the 2nd half for the 10 mins or so he was on really lost the plot when we were struggling - appalling tracking back.

However, other players haven't fared very well at first - FDM for one so I would like him to have another chance.

Although we won 3 - 0 there were times when it was easy to tell several players minds were on other things - SC situation.

Have to agree. He played poor.

Either he was not match sharpe, or couldn't give a t*ss.

The appearances that I'd seen of him as sub led me to think he could do a creative role in midfield for us, but on that display, I feel disappointed.

However, before we are too eager to write him off, just think of Butters.

That sums it up nicely

I always wondered why Coppell seemed to refuse to pick him but now I can see why. Very lacking in all departments - when interviewed after the game he tried to blame it on being played out of position but that can't excuse his complete lack of interest/effort.
I won't ever be questioning why the gaffer (whoever he may be?) doesn't pick Piercy again!

I'm pleased someone has posted this question.

For ages a lot of people on this board have banged on about Piercey.

I couldn't pass comment because, to be honest, I haven't seen him play much. (nor do I suspect, has anyone else!).

Well today was a good chance to see him play as he actually started. He had, IMHO, a poor game playing in a good side.

OK it may have been nerves at actually starting but I'd like to know why some fellow posters think he is so good!?!
