To be fair to Vagabound, he has been pretty correct with what he’s said re Potter and the Albion and most could see it too. It’s just how he’s made that point that’s wound many up! But yes, let’s just all be friends and enjoy beating Man City eh? Apart from Bladders he’s a cock **** **** head.
harsh.

This morning I put the OP on ignore for being a needless tit. I have not and will not read any more of his posts. To start a thread about a mod is idiotic, and about one who I happen to know is a fair and decent lad is suicidal.

Good bye, OP, forever, I expect. Cheerio.

It's not an NSC thread without this guy declaring he's got someone on ignore.

Loves to tell everyone about it too.

No way! I've always found Captain America a pompous, sanctimonious, insufferable bore. I can't be the only one that wanted to punch the screen when he was able to call and control Thor's hammer?! What a lot of bullshit that was!

Apologies if this tangent has hindered anyone's enjoyment of the binfest.

have you seen the msnger version .?..i lost my shit when he jizzed all over scarlets face ,,,,,,gutted......

I think a lot of posters forget that moderators are fans of the club too and, therefore, entitled to their opinions. In effect, they should be able to post on NSC as fans, not as moderators. At the same time, they should be able to deal with situations that arise that need sorting out under their 'moderator responsibilities'.

I'm not entirely sure of the 'beef' that's brought this to light, but if it is two people arguing/debating over players or managers, then it shouldn't matter if one is a moderator or not. That particular role – as I understand it (and having been admin of FB groups) is to be objective and impartial on conversations that are veering close to the line of breaking any 'rules' the group or forum has.

I know GB in real life and he's a good bloke. We might differ on opinions on footballing matters, but that's no different to other posters I know who AREN'T moderators.

It strikes me that it's all being taken a bit too seriously (starting threads about how someone became a mod) because, in reality, it's not really reality. I guess the OP and GB don't know each other in real life – who knows, they might get on if they did – but not everyone can like everyone else. There are people I don't like and I'm sure there are plenty who don't like me. Do I mind? Not really – life's too short for all that. Just ignore it and move on, FFS!

OK to be serious for a minute.

Firstly when Bozza asked me to moderate I was clear that I was happy to help so long as I could also continue posting (and writing articles) as a fan of the club and that was ok at the time, and I've not been told differently since. All the other mods also still post. I'm slightly more prolific because I'm an opinionated so and so. However, I'm the first to say on our moderating discussions if I feel that someone else's opinion is needed on a decision because I've been at the heart of the thread. That's how we roll till I'm told otherwise.

The point about meeting IRL is the real thing here. People talk about NSC being toxic over the last 18 months but for 15 months of that we've either been locked in our own houses or out and about risking death from a virus. That's not doing anyone any good, me included. I'm grumpier - everyone else must be too. The whole internet has been toxic since Jan 2020 and way before than on other issues like identity politics.

However, I've said nothing on here about the team that I wouldn't have said to you and the other NSC runners after parkrun. We'd have had a pleasant exchange of views about it and then said "see you next week". And I think it was @Keegan's Hairpiece who was mentioning chats after games over beer. I've had loads of those, post match, I've never agreed with everyone involved and I've never ever fallen out with people about it. I've had a robust exchange of views with El Pres over whatsapp after a couple of games. We're still pals - I hope - and he was mostly right in hindsight.

Hopefully this place will get back to normal in August. We'll be able to take and keep a lot more of these issues at pubs and parkruns. Also the Bear Pit is under serious review. Word to the wise - it won't come back if there's a risk of it ending up like last time.

On the football front I am passionate and I want to see us win, because I believe that, budget not withstanding, TB has built a fantastically competitive squad who are capable of more than we're currently achieving. I believe we saw that for ourselves on Tuesday. That just makes me doubly frustrated when we under achieve. It's been a bi-polar season. When you beat Spurs, Liverpool and City and lose to Sheffield United and WBA that about sums it up. That's going to lead to people reacting extremely. Those are, frankly, odd results.

However, Potter is going nowhere and I think we've seen from Tuesday that with a crowd behind us, next season could see lift off. I will certainly be on message at the start of the season because I always am in the ground - a vocal supporter not a boo boy. But I do think a certain amount of swearing at the telly and online ranting was justified in December when our results were at their worst.

Too often on NSC "PM me" or "you wouldn't say that to my face" is a latent threat, so I want to make it clear I don't mean that when I say I'd happily discuss this over a beer with anyone during the 21/22 season - because just having a beer and face to face discussion will be nice.

Sorry to interrupt the shithousery. You can crack on when I've found some popcorn.

I think NSC has a good set of mods, diverse views on different things.

Have been on other sites where they are all clones of each other and shut down any differing views to their own creating a circle jerk.

Abusing powers.
Involved in settling personal petty scores.
Bullying behaviour.

How is this allowed?

There’s an old saying along the lines of ‘If you meet an a*sehole in the morning, they’re an a*sehole If you meet a*seholes all day then you’re the a*sehole.’ Extensively, if you don’t get on with one person then it’s probably them, if you don’t get on with loads of people it’s probably you.

With that being said I would also like to say you make this forum f*cking unbearable to read for me. Ever since you decided to dedicate your life to trawling through Twitter to find Leeds fans you could post on here you’ve been easily my least favourite user since the days of Sir. Albion being a regular. I’ve normally tried to bite my tongue when reading your absolute drivel because I’d wager you’re either relatively young or on the spectrum (or both) but seriously, read this thread and actually take in what is being said for your own sake.

Maybe when this many people can’t f*cking stand you without even meeting you it should be taken as a sign and you should pull your head out of your arse Never met Guinness Boy but he’s absolutely light years ahead of you as a poster

You seem to use this as some sort of threat that people are terrified of, I'll let you into a secret, nobody cares whether they're on you're ignore list, I think you probably use it so you can wriggle out of answering when you've been proved wrong, you've done it twice with me.

Careful you'll get put on the HWT black list yourself. Personally I'd be more unhappy if I wasn't on it.

That's not quite what they said to you... ....you don't even meet on Tuesdays!

One thing I do know now I've read this thread is that Vagabond will be beside himself in joy that NSC has spent 17 pages mostly talking about him. Ultimately he's just an attention seeking kid and boy is he getting it in droves.
