Now the honeymoon is over, the mini hysteria after Southampton that we could just maybe make the playoffs has gone, and we are still leaking goals like a sieve. Must be f***ing frustrating for the forwards to regularly score and yet keep struggling to win games..

So is Gus still the Messiah or has he bitten off a much more challenging job that he might have imagined??

Personally I think we'll drop into the relegation zone at least until mid to late December but end up lower midtable.

Since Gus has taken over, performances have varied but our form has been mid table. We'll be ok.

Since gus has taken over we've had three league games and won 3 points. Averaged over a seaosn gives us 46, borderline.

Having said that, such a statement reuires us to not improve. And I am confident, as I was under slade, that we will improve, and will comfortably avoid relegation.

Quite worried. Only because we conceed goals pretty much every game. 13th October was the last clean sheet in the league. 7 games ago. We've only kept 3 clean sheets in the league all season.

We are scoring, but someday when they are misfiring, we need to at least get a 0-0 ground out, which there is no hope of doing at the moment.

After the Charlton game, we could have gone 4 games with only 3 points. But then in theory the easier games are coming, but we have ballsed those up to this year already

But look at who we have played in our last 3 games, not like it is the mid-table teams is it?

I have seen nothing yet that leads me to believe we will be in anything but a relegation battle unless we dramatically change the personel and I cant see TB lashing out heaps.

I dont tend to like them, however I hope GP and MT have contacts at their old clubs that they can call upon to get some loanees in.

Mid-table this season. Top half next season. THEN FALMER

I'd say "Quite confident" but that's not an option on the poll
My view too, and certainly more confident than I was last year. The squad's about the same in terms of ability but the manager's better.

Unless we sort out the defence that has been the problem for the last season and half we will struggle. There is only so much Murray/Forster/Dicksinon can do goals wise when we are letting in at least 2 a game. Having said that think we will be easily safe come the end of the season having seen the arrival of a couple of centre backs and McNulty coming back.

I'm actually very worried. We leak goals like a sieve. Might seem obvious, but its the goals that teams let in, that relegate them.

The whole defence currently looks a shambles. Both Hoyte and Whing have looked suspect. Also its asking a lot of McNulty just to fit in, seeing as he will clearly not be matchfit.

Hopefully Whing/Hoyte can sort themselves out and we get a decent centre half(s) in, plus McNulty gets upto speed quickly and stays fit. Otherwise we will certainly struggle to stay in this league.

Slade gets my thanks for keeping us up last year, but his poor pre season planning may relegate us this year.

the only team around us that has no form at the moment is stockport, wycombe tranny and southampton are picking up points so nobody is getting detached at the bottom,i think its going to be a long hard struggle to avoid the bottom 4 again. Whats vital is obvious,to avoid relegation we need to stop conceding ,bloom will have been tapped up already by poyet and money will have to be made available to buy the players he thinks we need to do this. The league is so tight anybody can beat anybody on the day,we simply cannot afford to go down this season with falmer on the horizon.

We'll beat Charlton tomorrow and be play-off contenders again afterwards, so no, not worried at all.
