How close have you been to a MURDER RAMPAGE?

I used to go out with a girl who lived in an apartment in Sao Paulo when she was 8 years old. There was a massive favela at the bottom of her apartment block, occupied predominantly by ex-pat businessmen and their families.

One day she looked out of the window, and saw a bloke open fire seemingly indiscriminantly leaving 15-20 people dead. It took the police 20 mins to turn up.

I was thrown by the title ' How close have you been to a murder rampage?'.
I thought, quite disturbingly, you were asking how close have you been to actually going on a murder rampage.

I was at a club a couple of months back where 2 people were stabbed.

Guns dont kill people, knives do.

About 7 or 8 years ago my mum was working in a post office in Somerset which was held up by a gang armed with guns and a machete. My mum had a gun held to her head before they fired several shots into the wall behind her, her colleague was quite badly beaten and also had a gun held to her head. My mum was shocked but ok but her colleague had a mental breakdown in the months following the incident as she was unable to get over the terror, so not exactly a murderous rampage but frighteningly close.

Witnessed a mob attack and then murder 2 blokes by necklace killing* in Alexandria (north Jo'burg township). What was so odd was how calm the murder victims appeared. No attempts at resistance or fighting back.
