How close have you been to a MURDER RAMPAGE?

Not sure if it was in the news in England or not but last Sunday in Japan there was a crazy man who drove his van into some shoppers in Tokyo, jumped out with a 13inch 'survival' knife and went on a stabbing rampage. His final tally was SEVEN dead and TEN injured.

This happened in a place called Akihabara, which is about half a mile from my house. Which is quite close. But, more excitingly, I was literally a few hundred metres up the road from the rampage AS IT HAPPENED. Then, unknowing of the accident I walked to Akihabara to be confronted by the (tidied up) aftermath. It wasn't till I got home and saw the news that I realised how close I was to being an EYEWITNESS to extreme headmentalism.

So, how close have you come to witnessing a murder rampage?

Back in Brighton, must have been around 1975.

A maniac stabbed four people in one night within an hour.

During that time, a man brushed past my Dad at Brighton station, (going up the Trafalgar entrance) and stabbed the man behind him.

My brother was out, at St Nicholas park, heard the shouts and ran to see another victim, whilst out my self, I walked past a spot, within minutes someone else was stabbed.

What happened to the bloke? Did he turn the knife/van onto himself? Scary shit!

P.S. got some really good news - I'll PM you.

I was in Universal Studios in LA about 20 years ago when someone robbed the cash desks in the entry kiosks. Resulted in two people being shot dead and several members of staff being held hostage for a couple of hours in a stand-off.

Those of us inside didn't know anything about it - I heard the gunshots but like most people I assumed they were part of one of the FX shows. Only realised when I saw it on the TV news later.

Drove through Omagh on the morning of the bombing

My dad was about three minutes cycle away from one of the Dublin Bombing bombs, on his usual route home.

Neither are rampages, per se, but both were mass murderings.

I think a policeman hit him with his baton and, rather pathetically, the madman rampager limply fell to the floor and curled up. From which position he was taken to the police station.

Apparently he was 'fed up' with life so thought he'd drive two bloody hours(he was from SHIZUOKA...) to tokyo to kill some people. He also left a load of messages on a website detailing his plans:
'I'm going to kill people-anyone will do'
'weathers good so no hold up'
'I'm nearing my destination'
'it's time'.

Way out west
A couple of weeks ago I went into Morrisons to buy some fish for my tea, no more than ten minutes after I left a man ran amok in the store, spraying some sort of noxious substance all over the place...as a result the supermarket was locked down (everyone was kept inside) for about 4 hours and was then closed for a couple of days while they cleaned the place up.

It turned out that the substance was a mixture of urine and something else, he also did the same thing in a Tescos store a couple of miles away, it is unclear what his motive had been.

I think it's probably because he's what the professionals call 'a headmental'.

Was drinking and chatting to the Holloway strangler and costa killer Tony King, the day he murdered his second victim in August 2003.

He was the barman at my local in Spain. Always thought his was an oddball.

Witnessed a mob attack and then murder 2 blokes by necklace killing* in Alexandria (north Jo'burg township). What was so odd was how calm the murder victims appeared. No attempts at resistance or fighting back.

Buzzer, that is quite horrible, possibly one of the nastiest ways imaginable to die.
