This is the latest volume (2023 March edition) of a Japanese monthly football magazine Soccer King. Mitoma is "big enough" to be on its cover here in Japan(y).

And, this is the newest volume of another major Japanese monthly football magazine "Soccer Digest". This month has international match day week and there are Japan v Uruguay and Japan v Columbia, so the cover is Samurai Blue (Japanese national team). You see "Mitoma is the biggest" on its cover. You see the shirt number 11 guy next to Mitoma. He is Takefusa Kubo (21 years old), currently playing for a Spanish Club Real Sociedad (he used to play for the youth team of Real Madrid). I'd say Kubo and Mitoma are the most popular now.

Bloody hell. What a header that is.

It's wonderful to have a player with the ability to actually head a ball downwards. Since Muzza left, we've been utter gash at heading in attacking positions. It shows, you don't need height or strength necessarily, athleticism, bravery and a bit of technique all that is needed

Mitoma loosely features in the new Sidemen video released two days ago. They go into a high-tech restaurant and the robot that serves them says that he supports Arsenal and Brighton (Tomiyasu and Mitoma).

This is a screenshot of a Japanese major morning tv news program. You see "3/29 8:15". The part means March 29th 8:15am. So, it was broadcasted this morning. You see 三笘女子. 三笘 = Mitoma, 女子 = Girl or Girls. So, 三笘女子 (pronounced Mitoma Joshi) = Mitoma Girls = Women who have a crush on Mitoma (or simply female Mitoma fans). Japanese media say "Mitoma Girls" are increasing 🤣

Many Japanese women are saying "I'm 三笘女子 = Mitoma Girl" in twitter like this girl.

The use of that Mitoma assist in a advertising campaign without actually using Mitomas name is genius and probably the reason why the trains run on time.

A Japanese source reports that BHA are planning a Japan tour early June. Couldn't find any reports in English. Below are some extracts translated by Google Translate.

> It was revealed by the 3rd that Brighton and Hove Albion of the English Premier League, which has Japan international MF Kaoru Mitoma, is planning a Japan tour immediately after the end of this season.

> The tour period will depend on the FA Cup final scheduled for June 3rd, but early June, immediately after the league match on May 28th, is likely. During that period, matches with J-League clubs are not possible, so matches between overseaeas clubs may be possible. Stuttgart, which has three Japanese players, Hiroki Ito, Wataru Endo, and Genki Haraguchi, seems to be a candidate.

Crikey, our players will be knackered by then. Would think the only place they would want to be, was on the beach.

Nobody else is reporting that Brighton is coming to Japan this summer, so I doubt it.

If I remember correctly,
Bayern Munich, Manchester City, PSG, Celtic, etc are coming to Japan this summer.

Celtic have 5 Japanese footballers now, so no wonder if they fly all the way to Japan.

Quite many Japanese footballers are playing in Germany now. Bayern Munich run a football academy in Japan and they've signed a special partnership alliance with JFA(Japan Football Association). Bayern Munich has a 18 year old Japanese footballer now, so no wonder if they fly all the way to Japan.

PSG and Manchester City put importance on Asian Market in recent years and they often have preseason tours in Asia (PSG came to Japan last year as well).

I want to see Brighton v Bayern Munich, Brighton v PSG, Brighton v Manchester City and Brighton v Celtic in Japan, but I doubt it can happen at the moment.
