I am not giving up my season ticket, but the idea does enter my mind on occasion, and it's usually the trains being unreliable that usually prompts that thought. The other factor that sometimes pushes it, is the lack of 3pm Saturday games, but again, the trains being shit makes this a bigger issue than it should be.

Actually when maverick bus drivers use the left hand lane, it works perfectly. Car drivers on the right hand lane don't look they have any issues with it. It's only an extra minute or two delay to let the bus through first and I've done both.

Honestly, apart from people headed left to the Uni car parks, it's a match day. Who going elsewhere would not expect a bit of delay to get supporters and staff to the ground.

Using the left hand lane is just a bit of sensible match day management that benefits everybody. Quicker turn round to and from the ground, less chugging diesel fumes while the bus crawls up the hill and more time for fans to spend, drink, eat at the Amex before the match.

Plus it doesn't even need a trial to show it works as it already has been done many times.
It’s quite a sharp turn to be fair 😉

I was lucky enough to get a uni ticket so parked there and took about 20 minutes to get away after milling around inside the ground for 15 minutes after FT.

few 4x4 / range rover arses not turning left at the roundabout to go east above the a27 from the uni road caused a few fractious beeping of horns but seemly turn left arrow doesn’t mean you have to to mostly wankpanzer drivers!

for people who left around final whistle how long did you queue for the mill road busses?

if I could get a uni parking ticket that could be the answer

Exactly, I love it when bus drivers do that and they get praised en masse.

There are next to no vehicles in the left lane, they sail through and hold up no one.

I've had horrible experiences when using Mill Road P&R and The Bridge car park this season, to the point that I now think very hard about going.
For today's game I waited to buy the parking before buying a match ticket on the exchange. I managed to get a Uni parking spot and was out in 20 mins. Just like Publius (above), if I could get a Uni ticket I would buy a season ticket again.
I'll wait to see if any parking comes available for Liverpool before buying a single ticket on the exchange.

Certainly better at Mill Road. Turned up 4.15 (bit earlier than usual) and small queue. 2 mins and on 2nd bus.

Coming back, couple of pints and highlights 45-50 mins after FT, walked up 2 min queue and 2nd bus.

Happy with transport tonight
Was the game a 31,000 true attendance? (I didn’t bother)

No.
Probably closer than many thought and all stands were emptying earlier than usual, which may well have helped.

Reckon the many early leavers made it nice and easy to escape after the ft whistle.

Platform at Falmer eastbound post match. 3 carrages arrive. A woman doubt she been to match asks is it going wherever...realises it isnt...tries to u-turn as everyone piles on...tide sweeps her on...tries get off...FFS you'll only have to repeat this if you do (just change at Lewes if needed), dunno if she got off, as I moved along to let others on as you do. Far too many people on the platform at least half never got on the train. Plenty police and rail staff there but appeared helpless to the number of people. Sort it out PB. Obviously thats tounge in cheek.

What could work is shuttle buses from the Level to the bottom of Coldean Lane. They could then go up Coldean Lane and back into town down Ditchling Rd. They’d avoid the worst of the traffic too.
Yeah that sounds about right. If Barber sorts that out I’ll nominate him for a knighthood to go with his OBE. Who’s writing to him then?

Trains were spot on tonight. Only downside is didn’t realise it ran fast from Worthing to Angmering so had a £15 cab back so not to be sat around for 20 minutes but left at 92mins and waited 1 train at Falmer to get away
