Having a manager who is devoid of any passion about he game, who appears to miss the reason for the very existence of the reason for the game I am extremely unhappy. **** sake man show some thing even a wistful sigh. He is made of the remains of the spitting image puppet of John Major.

I'm not sure some of these ex-players and now managers understand the passion supporters have, those that followed their team right through their lives actually understand the reason for their passion. He is lifeless, he might as well be talking about resurfacing the road outside my drive for the passion he shows. He ****ing winds me up.

After 50 years, I should be used to the rollercoaster. I am not and I am well and truly pi##ed off/frustrated/demoralised.

Roll on next weekend and a victory at Soton!

How am I coping with losing to the second best team in the country? I can live with it thanks.

Finally a sensible reply. (I skimmed the thread so maybe there were others). But **** me can no one cope with a bit of adversity? I know it’s tight and we’re on a bad run, but we’ll be fine. Keep the faith.

I think that someone who losses their shit on a regular basis isn't going to get the respect of their players, but I tend to agree with you that Potter just hasn't got that 'passion' that's needed....the Mullery type winner passion that sets real winners apart from others.
Today, a winner would have seen that we were second best second half, made some changes and set out our stall to not lose at any cost. Every point is vital and we've lost our previous two games.
He'll need to show some real winning mentality to get us safe this season. Let's hope he can find it within himself to do it and take some responsibility to make some tough decisions.

Not pissed off as I was after Palace. Not jokingly laughing in disbelief after missing 2 pens at west Brom and the disallowed referee howler. Upset tonight that we simply couldn't handle Leicester in 2nd half and looked jaded after a week off compared to them. Also, my thinking that we are losing confidence when the next 2 games are winnable but our record against teams around us is as poor as our goal scoring. Lose both and I don't see us staying up.

Counting my winnings after betting on a Leicester win, when we were 1-0 up, and a late goal bet placed 30 seconds before they scored.

Bad fan.

I have bet on us to lose every single time we have taken the lead this season. Made a lot on the soton game.

I can't get angry any more. It's pure frustration and a bit of sadness/upset that if we go down, then
I'll have a long time to reflect on chance after chance after chance messed up and missed opportunity after missed opportunity
bolloc*sed up to sort ourselves out.

Right now, I don't believe that I can mentally take a step backwards to the Championship.
That would be the end of the supporting line for me after 24 years. Call me a bad fan and all that (and you're right), but the
constant "if only" and "what might have been" would haunt me too much.

I’m still trying to work out the Alzate sub
I was saying to the OH, need to bring him on for Gross as they were getting control of the midfield. Brings him on and puts him LM. They continued to control the midfield. None of the subs made sense to me, and none affected the game in a positive way

Let’s face it, MacAllister, Trossard, Maupay and Gross all could have been replaced after an hour and that’s without changing formation. Unfortunately the premier league resisted 5 subs

We all deal with things our own way and you do what works best for you to keep body and soul together.

I’ve seen six relegations in the time I’ve followed the club. I just had to look it up to remind me but the last of those was 15 years ago. Over our recent history, that is a long time to go without a relegation so it’s going to be tough to take if it happens. It won’t stop me coming back for more though. I’m in too deep.

I'm still angry and I know I will have a shit night's sleep - watching on TV is so much worse than being there - think I'll probably not bother in future....too predictable and too bloody annoying.

I was expecting us to lose. Even at half time. That in itself is a more depressing than what's happening on the pitch.
I enjoy the football we're playing and more than happy to be in the Premier League. We've got some of the best players in the club's history.
Unfortunately it's no fun. Being a goal up against one of the better teams in the league and still knowing that we're going to squander our shots and lose isn't fun. Even when we beat Liverpool I didn't enjoy the match until it had finished as I was convinced we'd concede.

Just acceptance, felt much worse after the Palace game, to the point where I just switched off my socials and NSC.

Bit boring, but Hot Chocolate with Parks and Rec in bed seems to be the remedy tonight. Perusing Amazon for some rum also [emoji1303]

A bit dazed to be honest. And wondering whether I'd prefer we were a bunch of ugly hoof ball merchants floating around mid table.

Those of us of certain age will remember the Dutch side of 1974 who will forever be the best side to not win a world cup final. We could end up behold the most attractive side to get relegated from the premier league! :)
