How are we going to show Poyet and Bloom that the fans want Forster to get a new deal

Perhaps he wants a 2 year contract, which imo, is not a good idea. not really anyones fault.

If Forster wants to be on top money, on a 2 year deal, then no way... which I suspect he is after

None of your buisness
Look if Blooms planning on bringing someone in who's younger and better thgis summer then have hope and faith. Forster's been a good servant to the club but I imaging Bloom will know that splashing the cash this summer will be well worth it in financially for Falmers sake.

The fans have never had and will never have a say in the players this club hires and fires. We should stick to getting managers sacked :jester:

I truly believe that we might be pig headed enough as a club to let him go to one of our relegation rivals where he'll probably score the goals that relegate us.

I know we don't know the ins and outs of it, but from the quote attributed to Forster in the Argus, it seems that no contract was offered. I think Forster would be hugely beneficial to have around a young squad next year and I for one will be giving him a big cheer tomorrow, if he starts that is!

"It has been mutually agreed that I have been placed on the transfer list, due to the fact there is no contract in the offing. From a personal point of view it is with great regret that this outcome has been reached, as I have enjoyed my time with Brighton and would have liked nothing more than to extend my stay."

Just offer him another year you f***ing DICKHEADS

Why are you assuming Forster/Forster's agent didn't have ANY demands?

Such as: Role on coaching staff when retiring, and 2 years or nothing.

Perhaps he asked for 2 years or nothing; ie they WOULD have offered a one year contract, but for Nicky that wasn't an option.

Just a thought.

Forster has said there is no contract in the offing! Forster is not soft, he knows his age affects the amount of time he get's. At the moment there is no evidence to suggest he has asked for 2 years and there is evidence to suggest he has not been offered anything at all.

Should we be offering players now considering we could be in league 1 or league 2?

Read what I posted again. Perhaps Brighton were WILLING to offer a one year contract but Forster's agent said 2 years or nothing. Thus no contract was offered.

We know nothing, so it is wrong to assume that it's the club being inflexible, not Forster's agent.

if he was happy to take a one year deal, i think it is MENTAL that the club havent offered it to him yet

if however he wants two years plus on top whack when the likelihood is he wont be a first team player by the end of it, then the club are taking the right approach

Why does everyone keep assuming he was going to stay on and coach, we have as a club kept job for the boys and it never worked?

This is a sodding disgrace.

Forster is not stupid and is highly unlikely to expect more than a 1 year deal.

He also knows he is hardly likely to go elsewhere on 'big' money at his age. The only logical expectation is for him to be offered a 1 year deal on the same terms.

He is scoring goals, has scored goals and has been some of the BEST £75k we have ever spent. He is also a great asset for the future and without him our chances of being in League 2 next season are increased.

If he has not been offered any sort of deal then the club should be ashamed of itself and clarify the situation immediately as this is wrong, wrong and more wrong :censored:
