I just moved house, and a friend of mine, who is a photographer specialising in yachting, took this and got it printed and mounted for a house warming present. Bluddy lovely it is.

Looks a bit like the bird on our current club crest, a pregnant seagull.

Can't believe the modern media, thinking that all birds need to be a size zero or something.

That bird in the picture is very slim if you ask me, but no, others assume it is "pregnant", just because it isn't anorexic.

'Sake.

It's a one-off, he deletes all files once he's used it for printing, most of what he takes get printed and go to the owners of the boats he photographs. He's won a couple of awards for his stuff, here's a couple of low res ones he's done before. The last one is the one he won an international yachting photography award for.

With a print like that you could enter 'Open House' at the next Brighton Festival. To really fit in, you will need a photoshopped print of the burning pier as well.

I must admit I found the seagull a bit naff, but these are really good (although I prefer colour to B&W).

Thanks mate, at least he didn't give it to you then ;-) . I think it's just cracking, my photos do it no justice, it almost looks like a lenticular, stunning clarity, almost looks 3D.

Apologies, it's a result of the crappy art scene in Brighton. For all the culture the city allegedly contains most of the art seems to be from well meaning middle-class amateurs with photos of the pier or a seagull.

No idea, it's pro gear, and knowing him, it's going to be pretty much the best gear you can get, you don't even want to think about how much it costs.
