Could Hove really divorce Brighton? (From The Argus)

and you can shut up Fanshawe you dirty little Johnny come lately .

You are just as bad as the Johnny come lately's on here who don't know the length of Dyke Road from the dials to the top of Snakey is separeted by the Brighton and Hove border

fanshawe is so f***ing deluded it beggars belief. hahaha brighton has benefitted through tourism as a result of city status. yes before Simon you idiotic c unt brighton before that was a bit of a backwater for tourism and had not really exploited that market.

what an absolute wanker that man is. could brighton really divorce hove? those of us who were here before simon came down mainly on the basis of the number of saunas per square mile, know that they were never really married.

he has a point, i think the only real way to sort this is to build our own wall, berlin style, with dyke road avenue being turned into a 'death strip'

so lets get this straight the only people left on one side would be the weaker and the elderly as everyone else makes for the bright lights of the other side, away from the tedium and conformity of where they have escaped from? i wonder if that COULD happen?

The United Kingdom of Mile Oak
IF that's the case, then can Portslade & Brighton sign an alliance and declare war on Hove?

What about Mile Oak and our beloved children? Can I form a breakaway republic with me as the President of Mile Oak?

Just like the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, we can be the Former Brighton Borough of Mile Oak.

May just enter Mile Oak Wanderers into the next World Cup and try for the Olympics...I can just see it now...

The opening ceremony and football would be held at Mile Oak Football Ground.
Track & Field at Mile Oak Primary School
Gymnastics, Table Tennis and Badminton at Portslade Community Centre
All Swimming events could take place at Wadurs in Shoreham
Yachting at Shoreham Harbour.
Finally the equestrian events could take place at Mile Oak Farm

Now THERE's a vision!!!:drink:

People joke but they forget about the cruel divide between East and West Saltdean, and the poor East Saltdeaners under Baker's Jackboot.

Longridge Avenue is a veritable vale of tears, with its tatty shops on the other side looking longingly at the opulence and wealth on the other side like Big Alans Gift Shop and its amazing array of consumer goods they can only dream of, rubber rings and plastic footballs, and people guzzling exotic drinks in Gullens without a care in the world.

Its time that this wall was bought crashing down and Uncle Norman put on trial for his crimes.

Still referring to the gayers as "dirty", I see.

Sounds like there are some marriage problems that Brighton and Hove need to work out. Can you do us a favour HB&B? It might be best whilst they try and reconcile their differences that you go and live with Auntie Luton?

That bland, forgettable, sinkhole and you might be better suited. Let's face it, you don't help with your jealous snidey remarks just because Brighton has some trendy mates and knows how to live a little.

We'll let you know when it's safe to come back.

they bricked up the cross-city rail lines over in berlin so i imagine we'd do something along the same lines here unfortunately...

the old stations will be derelict, graffiti ridden memoirs of the old conurbation ... the only sounds will be that of children throwing bootlegged Depeche Mode cassettes over the wall to those left behind the floodlit drenched Sackville Platz.
