Hove - Brighton Route Finding Puzzle

Alright?

My mate lives in Westbourne Villas and he says he can drive to his mum's who lives in Lowther Rd (near 5-ways) without passing any traffic lights. The route does (he thinks) include one Zebra crossing.

It took me ages to work it out but I think i've sorted it now.

Anyone fancy having a go? Might pass 5 - 10 minutes!

Up through Richardson Road into Portland Road through Poets Corner right out of Coleridge Street into conway street up under the bus depot right into wilby ave along to the drive shit traffic lights I give up . The Dials will play a part though!

How bout, up through vallance road round to belfast street , along blatch road to the cricket ground up holland road into montefiore, round the back of hove rec (somehow)
into shirely drive, right into the Droveway, left into Dyke road then right into valley drive, down past Withers left into tongdean lane left into london road, up to the back off Vardean up to ditchling road, left then turn off BEFORE lights into osbourne road, Lowther road third left ish.

I thought that too but I don't think you can access the bypass from Westbourne Villas without pasing traffic lights?

Turn left onto Portland Road
Turn right up Olive Road
Turn right, go down Old Shoreham Road and turn left into Holmes Avenue
Turn right down Court Farm Road
Go across and down Nevill Way
Turn right down Goldstone Crescent, then left up Woodland Drive.
Go down Tongdean Lane past the Witherz, Across London Road and up Surrenden Crescent
Along Surrenden Road, left up Preston Drove and WHAMMO!!

I think you can.

But I've had second thoughts about whether it would be necessary to use the bypass.

Tim's route to Conway street, under the bridge , round the back of the Goldstone across Old Shoreham Road, Orchard Gardens? comes out in Nevile Road by the Greyhound Stadium up to the bypass via Snakey Hill. Come off the bypass at Hollingbury and across the top to Ditchling Road, down towards Fiveways, and turn right and wiggle around a bit and you are in Lowther Road.

Westbourne Villas - Westboune Gdns - Wordsworth St - Sackville Rd - Clarendon Rd - Conway St - Fonthill Rd - Wilbury Ave - Wilbury Cres - Old Shoreham Rd - Montifiore - Addison Rd - Dyke Rd -
- Russell Cres (is this one way though?) - York Villas - Hamilton Rd - Stanford Rd - Dyke Rd Drive - Preston Rd - Preston Park Ave - Preson Drove Lowther Rd

But what does this thread prove? There's more than one way to skin a cat!

That's it Peacock Lane why couldn't I remember that ? Especially as i shagged a a treacle up there in the back of a Hillman Avenger in about 1989.
