You're joking I think but he possibly will. Are moderate Tory candidates even allowed in the Party any more? He would have to run in Hove presumably on a sensible traditional tory platform of competent economic stewardship etc. Then say he gets elected. Then it's turn into a rampant ERG type who talks about collaborators and treason or you're out

21 MPs axed for not voting with the whip.

Sacked by a party led by cabinet members that voted against the party whip on multiple occasions while the 21 who got axed had at the time had supported and voted with their government.

You couldn't make this shit up if you were writing a satirical fiction novel.

Hove Labour needs someone like me with my great and unmatched wisdom

Oh of course, peter Kyle is not a momentum trot like you!

They replace him with a trot and labour won’t get a look-in in hove ever again.

I see Hove as a safe Labour seat all the while Brexit is a public issue, irrespective of the candidate

Embarrassing that they are trying to get rid of Peter Kyle though. Excellent MP

I know quite a few people who think highly of him. If he is deselected, would he have enough support from voters to stand as an Independent?

It's not a safe seat- excepting the last election. It only went to Labour in 1997 and there have been no strong majorities until 2017.

Peter Kyle is obviously a factor. If they did change him then it could be touch and go.

He'd get my vote as an Independent ( even more so than if he's Labour actually ) and as you well know I'm a Brexit loving, mouth frothing, racist right wing thicko.

You've misunderstood my point.

It hasn't been a safe seat historically. I think it is a safe seat now. This is because Hove is so strongly remain that a Conservative candidate hasn't got a chance. When brexit dies down, probably in 20 years, the Tories might find a way back in.

The only scenario I can see this not applying, is if Momentum do manage to deselect Kyle and he runs as an independent. Under those circumstances, the Tories would be the most likely winners. Can't see Kyle being deselected though.

I’d 100% vote for Kyle as an independent. I 100% wouldn’t vote for a Momentum stooge. I’d much rather vote for Nemeth than Momentum.

don't think he is. if you don't fox hunt i.e. pick on defenceless animals/people then you are not a true Tory. Its how they start to learn to make other people's misery their pleasure.

It’s comments like that, that ensure the Labour Party extremists will remain at the edges of democracy frothing at the mouth with indignation as to why they are not listened to.

****.

Bit like Extinction Rebellion knobs. Want to bring a serious message to the table, but spoil it by wearing pirate outfits, dancing naked in public and generally behaving like fvcking idiots. Does their cause no good whatsoever.
