I used to work with the estate agent pictured and my brother is a very good friend of his. Given the apparent info that "Similar properties in this street in Hastings, East Sussex, have sold for up to £250,000, but this one is on for a bargain £99,950" I'd say go for it. Hastings in general is cheaper than Eastbourne and far cheaper than the rest of Sussex. Bexhill would be 10 mins or so nearer Brighton but there's NOTHING to do there.
I love living in Hastings and other than slightly higher unemployment due to lack of industrial sphere jobs I don't see any more hassle or issues than any other town. Some areas are extremely nice and there is alot to do. Great sense of community in most areas and very friendly people in the main. I'd say it's a bargain for sure and if you need info on the town feel free to PM sometime. I remember this first time round as is same road as couple of my older clients so will have to ask them what the street is like to live in.

How does this happen? Who built a bungalow under a pylon or a pylon over a bungalow?

its odd isnt it? theres a line of Pylons going though Polegate, with several houses having a nice lawn ornament. the odd thing is the line dog legs around Sayerland (roundabout junction A27/A22), if the original line from the west was carried on a few hundred meters the rest of the line could have completely missed the town.

if you do go for it be aware of the buzzing in foggy/damp conditions, i wouldnt believe all that health effect nonsence but its bloody loud and likly to be a nuisance.

years ago my first wife and I used to live opposite the power station at Shoreham and that was loud and used to light up like a firework display.
but as I said before nothing that triple glazing won't deal with and besides the fact that since we have lived here when it was so quiet now we have 10 ton lorries flying about at 3/4am in the morning with a loose sewer cover right opposite in the road and the fecking neighbours shouting at their bedwetting son at 3am so anything will sound like silence after that

If you were there from anytime between '77 and '89 then you were neighbours with a good friend of mine, John.
He drove a Triumph Vitesse and a motorbike. I built his 2-car garage around the back driveway
