European/worldwide adventures have been few and far between for the Albion, doubt we can compete with that

shouldn't imagine we'll be jetting off anywhere any time soon.

this country. the hottest might be the celebration party in bournemouth, that bank holiday weekend. coldest - any number of trips to stoke. that place stays at freezing all year round.

The most curious thing..
Hottest - strangely Oldham away, first game of the season a couple of years ago, or Wigan away, similar time of year in Championship

Coldest - Scunthorpe away c1985, Peterborough away c1986. Snow on the pitch, ice on the terraces, orange balls.....

Wettest - Oldham away c1987 - no roof and watching the sleet and snow coming straight at us over the Pennines with no escape

Hottest - the Oldham game 2003 already mentioned.

Coldest -Stoke 2003 away as an icy cold wind blew straight across the stand which hadn't got any sides.

Mid-week game at Withdean against Burnley two seasons ago was very chilly (and 0-0). A couple of students in front of me called their friends on the way back to the P&R and said nothing whatsoever had happened during the match - I think this was an overstatement. CKR had some fancy gloves that he managed to keep spotless throughout the 90 minutes though.

Wettest - Carlisle last year.
Hottest - Highbury
Coldest - Hull away in the FA Cup in about 1984. It was incredibly cold at the game, and then the Seagull Special broke down on the way back, and BR left us sat in dark carriages with no heating for about three hours in a siding at Peterborough. We got back around 3.00am.
In 1984 our Cup run from memory was Swansea 3rd Round (Terry Connor wonder volley) 4th Round Liverpool 5th Round lost to Watford. In 1985 we played Hull at home then lost at Barnsley in the 4th Round maybe it was the run to the Qtrs in 1986 that was I believe Newcastle 3rd Hull maybe 4th Peterborough very very cold home and away 5th Southampton

I remember going to an away game at Sheff Utd in the cup, in either 86 or 87, must have been then because I was living in London at the time...we drew the game up there and then beat them at home...we also won 1-0 up there in the league round about the same time, was our first away win for a very long time and Dean Saunders scored the winner.

Actually I have another group of contenders for coldest, though I still think I would vote for Torquay.

Cambridge away when it snowed at half-time, Huddersfield when they cleared all the snow from the pitch (took them hours) and we won 3-1 and Wigan away in snow, standing huddled against the fence at the back of a very wind-swept open terrace.

I can't honestly say that I have ever been really frozen at an Albion game, slightly cold maybe. Have just remembered another game where it was really cold, having seen Alex McLeish on the news at ten reminded me of an Edinburgh derby at Easter Road...an arctic wind was blowing off the Forth, right into the away stand where I was sat...I was sure that my knees would crack when I stood up to leave at the end of the game, they really were frozen solid.

Aberystwyth Town v TNS - March 2005. Was a bit chilly during the first half, but nothing too severe. Went in to the bar at half time for a nice pint, came outside and there was an inch of snow - Watched 10 minutes of the second half before it was called off because it was dangerous (and the fact visibility was about 10 yards because of the driving snow!).

But if we're talking Albion....

Haven't been to loads of games, but the coldest was probably Oldham away last season where it was snowing a tad about an hour before kick off.

Warmest.....Can't actually remember going to a WARM albion game!
