Any recommendations?
Was planning on staying Friday to Sunday but the prices on Booking.com ,
Trivago, premier inn etc are crazy averaging £180 per night.

Any pub chains with rooms ??

AirBnB??

Thanks

Have you tried Village Hotels ? Sure there’s one in Liverpool, they’re perfect for football weekenders (good food and bar, big tellies etc plus pool, gym, ample parking). Don’t tend to appear on agent websites.

Edit - here https://www.village-hotels.co.uk/liverpool

Showing about £93/night for the Liverpool game weekend. Join their ‘club’ first and rate will be discounted further.

You will find all the hotels full of Liverpool fans... In fact, you will see them all going up the motorway too!

The prices in Liverpool when they are playing are beyond stupid due to all their Irish and Scandinavian fans flying in and staying.

Best bet is to stay outside and travel in.

Warrington or Runcorn area is easy to get to and from lime street.

my only advice would be, whatever you do, stay away from the adelphi

Haha - I’ve stayed there a few times. Iconic and worth a visit. At around £60 per night mid week it’s a great example of “ you get what you pay for” (almost!). Suggest don’t take your best car - car park is a bit of waste ground at the rear with tell-tale signs of broken glass.

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
Definitely NOT The Adelphi.

Looks great from the outside, but apparently a shambles inside.

Warrington is your best bet. It's the North West riviera. I lived there for three years.

Cultural highlights include the Chris Evans museum and the site of the old Unilever Factory.
