Can anyone recommend a decent hotel to stay at in the centre of brighton?

im driving down from london for a night of drinking and need to sort out a hotel to stay at after...

also can anyone recommend a decent rock/indie club to go to on a saturday night cheers.

Don't know if you'd class it as a "decent" hotel, but I'm sure I saw some Travelodge advert in one of the papers yesterday, advertising rooms around the country from £19.00 per night.

Go to the Pav Tav on North Street for a great indie/rock night.

Very Very good if you're into that sort of thing... However if you're not... It's a horrible sweat box full of skinny jean wearing, floppy fringed wankers.

And the best bet for a hotel is the travel lodge on North Street, cheap and you know what you're getting.

We use a lot of hotels, and I can assure you that Travelodge only give those special cheap prices to rooms on days like a Sunday Night or midweek, also they tend to give them to hotels that have crap locations, and you have to book them well in advance, for example to qualify for the cheap rate with Travelodge you have to book at least 21 days in advance, the one thing i will say for travelodge is they are very good quality for the money in most cases.

The Brighton travelodges and Premier inns etc are normally well booked up in advance, getting a reasonably priced hotel in Brighton at this time of year is not easy, i can assure you, I appreciate we will all have differing opinions as to what you call "reasonably priced"!!

Can I recommend the Ship Hotel? By all accounts you arrive on a Friday, get shown to the very best penthouse suite, have champagne on order, all the meals are free and then on a Monday as you leave, the manager bungs you £150!! Wowee!

I haven't stayed there muyself but my Sister has on a few occasions.
