They do a very good job of it, I have done it many times and it is most enjoyable, thoroughly recommend it.

In a cave
We were in there after the game on Saturday and saw Fozzie pick up his Coca-Cola player of the month trophy from September. One of Lizs mates did the full package on Saturday for his stag do and they had a great afternoon. The said the food was excellent and they came first and second in the quiz so got a bonus signed shirt and bottle of Champagne.

Paul Rogers looks after everyone and does an excellent job. We have done this a few times and think its well worth the money.

Dicker and Hart also came up to do presentations have pictures taken etc etc.

Dick Knight was also in enjoying the hospitality.

Thanks Mark (and everyone else) - that really helps!

Think I might treat myself and the missus if I can find a baby sitter !!

...or if I went with a mate, the missus could look after the kids.... nice!

Not paid for it but the old man has won it a couple of times. Although, as it's shitty old Withdean, it has to be in a glorified hut it really is great. Food is decent, wine is literally drink what you like and we had bacon sarnies after, well good

Dick Knight was also in enjoying the hospitality.

DK joins the "Odds and Sods" table (the big one at the end with Mr Darby et- al) after pretty much every game, always happy to stop and chat with whoever. When my brother came over to the UK for his first ever Albion game last season DK spent time chatting with him, asking him about where he lives, and also explaining about the struggle the club has had over the past 12 years.

I think the way the club "does" the hospitality is excellent, they really do make you feel special, and it's not too badly priced, especially on deals like this one. I do hope they can keep some of the format when we get to the new stadium. Not the portakabin bit, but the friendly bit, where it doesn't matter if you turn up in a whistle, or a footie shirt, you'll still get to chat with the Chairman, The President, the players always take time to sign autographs, pose for photos etc, plus there is always a smattering of golden oldies, Fozzie turns up often, as does Wardy whenever he is over, Gerry Ryan, Teddy Maybank, Gary Nelson, Gary Stevens, all put in appearances, plus the non playing players occasionally wander around chatting with everyone. You also get various other dignitaries (Mick McCarthy the other day), scouts from other teams, quite good foe a chat, they'll tell you anything! The refs assessors are either grumpy fuckers or quite up for a chat, Durkin and the baldy one are normally quite a good laugh.

Well worth it, I would encourage anyone who has not tried it to give it a go, before we move to the soulless corporate carbuncle that is Falmer.

Agree with all of that bar the very last bit.

One of the reasons we're not having as many boxes as could have been fitted was that when the club asked the regulars in hospitality what they wanted, they preferred the way its's done at Withdean - i.e. everyone together in one big room.

Of course, some want boxes, but you'll see in the Falmer plans one great big dining room.

I've had some great times in hospitality and, despite the quality of everything else at Withdean, the food is pretty good, and you do feel well looked after. Wanderer, if you're going in there, you should have a good time.

Just a shame about the footy...

Only downside of hospitality is the weird feeling of detachment from the action due to the low-level view from the North Stand. IMHO, like.

Don't think that is an issue as this offer to Gold members doesn't seem to include match tickets - I presume that as Gold members you have your existing seats to use and you are adding hospitality to this.

Ah right, cheers, in which case it does indeed seem like a decent offer. Personally would pay good money NOT to sit in the North Stand.
