I really really hope he does well for United, scores a hatful, then comes back to us next year, fully fit, ready to take on the Championship with us.

Only problem is, if he does too well and gets them promoted, I could see him signing for them permanently. I feel gutted for him, not given enough of a chance to shine.

Bit harsh there. He's been offered the chance to move permanently for first team football at Bournemouth, or out on loan to another fairly big club.

Sure, it's miles away from home, but it is only 4 months and probably goes to show that he wants to play football and work to get back into Gus's plans.

Ever since Toby went on instead of him against Peterborough i've thought that he clearly isn't seen as a first teamer at the moment.

He is a professional and will knuckle down and do his best for Sheff Utd for the remainder of the season (which isn't very long at all). He probably needs regular football to try and shake off these niggly injuries. Can't be great only being a bit part player at the moment and that will likely have got worse with the introduction of Vokes. Good luck to him and look forward to having him back in the summer ready for next season.

If he hadn't have had the injuries that he has, he would have no doubt nailed down the first team position with CMS by now. Hasn't worked out that way so an alternative plan was needed. Plus it will free up some wages for the others coming in

He's not that far from his roots - born in Nottingham and started his career at Rotherham.

Something ssemingly still not clicking here, and here's hoping this will spur him on to bigger and better things when he returns.

jesus, people, relax.

first, i watched the interview and i certainly didn't see anyone looking "devastated". i saw a fairly young kid who has, somewhat surprisingly, been loaned out to a club quite a distance away and was being interviewed about it probably not too long after he arrived. head spinning, in a bit of a daze? maybe. devastated? i think not.

second, as i also like him and want him back, i hope he understands the move better than most of you seem to and that his attitude is a bit different than the 'he sent me away from Bwighton when i didn't want to go ' that some of you lot think is appropriate.

and finally, in spite of some on here acting like they have their own seat in the boardroom, not one of you really has a clue what Poyet said to him and how the loan move was 'sold to him'.

Agree he did look gutted, however he wants to play football and maybe a 4 month loan deal will do him the world of good. Its not the end of the world for him or the Albion, he has just moved jobs not been made redundant. Good luck to him.
