I'm going with my old man. Split loyalties for me, as I'm Horsham born and bred but saw the error of my ways and got out. Never supported the hornets but went occasionaly when Brighton were away. Biggest crowd I've seen there was Horsham v Crawley FAC. I remember you could squeeze through a fence to see Horsham YMCA.

Jello, I remember the game between Horsham and Crawley, wasn't that the year that we drew the eventual winners. I also went to the occasional game at Queen Street, usually when I was back home in Sussex and the Albion were away, are they still looking to sell the ground and move to a new stadium elsewhere?

There was talk of moving to a new ground by the garden centre and Hornbrook pub along with loads of houses to help fund it. Not sure what the state of play is now as it wasn't exactly welcomed by the local nimbys.

League matches have been £6.50 this season so hope we don't put it up for this cup match, don't see why they should as I'd imagine there would be some local interest.

We're going into this top of Ryman Div 1 so that'll probably mean we'll get a hiding - not very good at playing the big games!

Stadium thing is a bit of a nightmare, the Hornbrook thing fell through and now looking at a possiblt move to Broadbridge Heath with plans for houses there. The ground is sold and we have to move out at the end of the 2008 season so no chance of having a new place built by then. Just hope there is an agreement inplace to build it as I wouldn't like to guess what will happen after we motve away and start groundsharing, the council might not worry wbout finding us somewhere to move back to!

This fella might be there on Wednesday:

Oh no, sounds like Horsham will be doing an Albion, can't see them sharing with Crawley though. The move to Broadbridge Heath, would that be to a new ground or the athletics track by Tesco?

I used to go to Horsham every week and stand in the Cow Shed.

That Crawley game was brilliant. We lost the replay at Town Mead, Crawley then beat Barnet 2v0 with Glen Hoddle's brother playing, and Northampton 4v2 before losing to...

Its the track by Tescos I know it well, as have done school sports days there, and watched a friends Sunday football match be played there. A good ground County League wise, but bit doubtful, that it will suit a team like Horsham. I hope Horsham get something soon though.

The new plans would be to have a new ground in a seperate location to BBH's current ground with the running track. The idea is that we would get a bit of land to build a proper gorund with training pitch but there seems to be fresh opposition from the BBH residents who seem to think that their village is some sort of idyllic, rural paradise!

Seeing as the council will be force to build houses somewhere, hopefully these plans will go through and we'll get a new ground.

Oh, and I remember watching the 5-0 win over Crawley as well and I was extremely happy after seeing them beat us in the 4th qual round. That was in the day when I my support was probably just crossing over from Brighton to Horsham.

And a nice crowd of about 18,000 if I remember rightly to bring a few quid in.

It did bring in a few quid but it was at the time that we used to massage the gate figures downwards to cut down on our tax bill, allegedly, Crawley fans still think we swindled them by declaring a smaller gate than there actually was. I would be amazed if it really was 18k, there seemed like a fair few more in the Goldstone to me.

i've played at horsham before, we were a sunday league team, just having a laugh really, and horsham had a team in our league(i think it was supposed to be their 3rd team), unfortunately, we played them mid week at queen street, and they put out their FIRST team

we lost 19-0

Ironically Braintree, are reporting them to the FA, over the amount of cash Crawley gave to them, for the FA Cup Qualifying round (which was at Broadfield Stadium). Some Crawley fans just don't realise that we had a board that should not have been allowed to run a club at the time.
