Sussex trained Sir Mike runs in the 5.05 at Newmarket and having spoken to a joint owner this morning, it has an outstanding chance at 3/1 (he said it might well go off favourite at around 7/4 to 2/1). Frankie Dettori is the jockey in his only ride there which shows how highly he rates this horse.

Hopefully it can get the weekend off to a flyer.

I went in three betting shops in Haywards Heath and they had all taken a bit of money for the horse. Going up 6lb shouldn't be too much over the mile distance.
