Bad tackle and he deserved to go but certainly not as bad as some of you are making out.

Please find me a worse tackle. I'm not suggesting that it was a malicious challenge, just a terribly bad one. He has litterally CLATTERED into Iwelumo knee high, late and about 3 PAST where the ball was?

I struggle to see how you can make such a statement that it's not that bad?

Can't find a vid but Danny Guthrie's V Hull Leg-breaking horror tackle may earn extra suspension for Newcastle's Danny Guthrie | Mail Online

The one that broke Gerry Ryan's leg?

The one chippy dished out to the Reading mush?

It was late and high, you get tackles like that every single week. It's only because it was on Sky and such a high profile game people are making such a big deal out of it.

f***ing poofs, supposed to be a mans game!

That's probably Iwelumo out for the rest of the season and Carsley will get a three game ban max. It's about time the rules were changed so that the minimum ban lasts until the player injured plays again. Having said that Wolves will miss Iwelumo far more than Birmingham will miss a talentless thug like Carsley.

I think Carsley is a very good, solid midfielder.

If these two go up next season's Premiership relegation battle is already over.

I fear you are right. Wolves have a few very good players, but their whole team performance seems to hinge on one man, Michael Kightly. If he has a bad game Wolves lose and if he plays well, Wolves win. The fact is that Kights is out injured for the rest of the season (and maybe even some of pre season) and therein is Wolves problem. They have some fantastic strikers (Iwelumo, Ebanks-Blake, Vokes) but none of that matters if they cannot improve the delivery from the wings.

In addition to getting a fit Kightly back, Wolves will need to buy another premiership quality winger to feed their strikers. They have a solid central midfielder (Karl Henry) who is popualr with the fans due to being a local boy come good (I even used to work for the same company as his mum!). However, he will need an equally strong central midfielder alongside him if Wolves are to survive in the premier league beyond Christmas.

Wolves biggest problem (by far) is their defending. They were solid when they had Mancienne on loan from Chelsea earlier this season and have struggled since he left. Berra has been a good aquisition, however one man does not make a defence. Craddock simply is too old and slow to be playing premiership football (maybe even championship football many Wolves fans argue). Wolves will need a left back, right back and another centre back if they are to survive.

Fortunately Wolves have not one, but three keepers who will survive in the Premier league - Hennessey has long been a target for Arsenal and will leave in the summer if Wolves do not go up.

If Wolves go up, McCarthy has a lot of shopping to do this summer...

The worse tackle I have ever seen is one Greame Souness did against Steua Bucherest, it is about 2 minutes into this clip.

He literally tries to castrate the bloke with this challenge. His reaction after is amazing too as if he has a tiny mark on his leg.

So because it's not one where he's deliberately gone after the bloke everyone should just get on with and allow tackles that damn near KNEECAP someone to carry on.

I can assure you being a big NFL fan and watching some of the huge hits that are legal in that sport, I find footballers to be a bunch of nancies too. This however is a shocking, wreckless challenge that could have easily have ended someones career

Yeah, damn straight. Made the game more interesting last night didn't it?!?

Surely wearing crash helmets and shoulder pads makes the yanks bigger poofs?
