Herein lies the rub Harry.
She is not experienced, because she has not managed a league team. How does she get experience, manager a league team. Would she get one of those gigs? Read some of the comments above and see what she is up against.
To be honest, it wouldn't matter to me if she was given the job, or come in as a number two to uwe rossler!

You are probably right,but it would make a change from the merry go round of under achievers regurgitated to fail again and again.
I believe that there will eventually be a female manager in the pro ranks in the UK.
It would shake up the whole diving,cheating,spitting,confrontatonal,dissenting, macho world of professional football.
Angela Merkel and Maggie Thatcher have run whole countries so I am sure a woman could run a football team.

She is a poor manager and most people who have followed womens football know that.. Done well to get England to a point but then prevented any further growth.

I am still trying to get my head round Hyypia's appointment in the first place. How the bloody hell did he get through the interview process against other candidates. He has got to be one of the dullest men in the Universe. It worries me that Bloom put so much faith in....
1) A man who had failed miserably in his first job. Where the wheels had come off spectacularly and players and officials were confused by his strategy and tactics and his complete failure to motivate and arrest a disturbing decline.
2) A man who self-confessed that he wasn't a leader in his playing days and how he let others lead and motivate.
3) A man who was a novice and lacked any real experience.
It wasn't even a calculated gamble. It was a complete gamble and thats the worry for us fans, that our chairman could be quite so cavalier with such an important appointment. I sincerely hope that he has learnt from this.

The macho world of football that has been going for over a hundred years .....for Gods sake man, women can manage their own teams/clubs /etc no one is stopping them just like they have the business women of the year ,women only gyms etc and positive discrimination.
And if you think having a woman as a manager would stop cheating ,spitting .......(dont know if I can take that seriously) ,and confrontation etc then you dont know many women and certainly dont know what makes people watch football,fans love to watch contentious issues ,they may not admit it but they do .And as for running a country and running a football team on the same par ...well I cant even bring myself to comment .In fact I really cant take your post seriously

I we be so proud if we had the guts to appoint Hope Powell. And if Hope would take the job. Of course this is not a man's job. Certainly would be happier with Powell than Pulis
I know this isn't a serious thread but just to play along, what did Hope Powell win then? If she wants to work in the mens game her best bet would be to try and join a club and work first with the youth set up and work her way up from there. That way she could build up her credibility. If she walked into a managers job in the mens game and failed then she would probably set the cause back decades.
