I was thinking about signing up to homechoice. They provide 40 TV channels, 1MB broadband with a 30GB download limit and free evening telephone calls for £19.99 a month.

Has anyone else used them? Is a 30GB download limit enough? How many pages of NSC would i have to open to reach this limit?

Advice please!

ive looked at this and only not got it due to 12month minimum contract. You have to work hard to download 30GB unless your into filesharing movies.

i used to work at NTL and we got loads of bunff about Homechoice being a new and serious competitor to NTL.

they were shitting themselves as the offer was so good. i think the only problem with it was the initial lack of upgrade choice in the future. however i think they have since signed better deals with Sky etc so choice shouldnt be a problem.

As for the 30gb download limit well that all depends on what having Broadband means to you- if you have a DVD burner and want to rip copies of tv shows/ films etc then maybe choose another supplier. however if your more worried about swift access and the occasional music or "choice video" download then go for it!

The guy who sits next to me at work thinks its great.

£23.50 for 500kb Broadband, phone line, free calls evenings & weekends, digi TV and on-demand TV, music videos and films.

Not bad.

Just signed up - now i can cancel my NTL which has been nothing short of useless. Despite living in the centre of London, i've been unable to go digital or get broadband from them despite promises to the contrary for the last 2 years - i've finally had enough! At least now i'll get digital and broadband and for less money!
