I see you didn't post the attendance for the SSC and the Spurs friendly , the Palace fans would be salivating over the figures for these ramp up events :lolol:

Never would have guessed that Birmingham & Ipswich would have been in the top three of away fans numbers.

I guess midweek fixtures make a huge difference to numbers turning up.

Funny that the home gates against Pompey and saints are almost exactly the same and that they both had the same numbers in our away end.l

I think the one person increase for the Pompey game indicates Vicente's presence.

Those figures show (to me) the very steady levels of home support, averaging 18019 overall (18194 in the league). When teams don't sell out the away end, that's when the figure drops below 20k. Home figures only (* denotes midweek game):

Liverpool 19494*
Newcastle 19199*
Barnsley 19027
Doncaster 18776
Burnley 18658
Ipswich 18511
Palace 18510*
Middlesboro 18481
Pompey 18352
Southampton 18351*
West Ham 18285*
Leeds 18285*
Peterboro 18248
Bristol City 18246
Reading 18237*
Hull 18195*
Birmingham 18133
Blackpool 18054
Cardiff 18028
Watford 17997*
Forest 17983
Leicester 17900
Derby 17744*
Coventry 17317
Millwall 17146*
Wrexham 16544
Sunderland 15887*
Gillingham 14967*

Two questions: what was so special about Barnsley and Burnley that made the home attendance sneak into the top 5?? And does the Burnley away support include the referee?

our lowest is bigger than Palaces best!!

They got 21,002 against Reading in October which in the league is better than any of ours.

And in the League cup they got 22,147 against Cardiff, which is better than us in all competitions...

But we average 20,029 compared to their measly 15,206!

Presumably the away end being split making more tickets available for Albion fans (compared to the other games).
