Im not even going to answer that, unless of course youve been on an island with no NSC for a long time....

the point is from SEEING Craig davies play and watching the goals he has scored in league 2 he is at the right level. As Holroyd scored for fun in Conference and Stevenage are struggling in league 2 it seems it might be a good move for both of them.

IMO Davies was IS / WAS a lot better than Holroyd. Gus' worst signing IMO again. And no future at the club - hope i'm proved wrong but c'est la vie...

So you have'nt seen them both play to compare them?

Seemingly heading for a 3 month loan to Stevenage.

excellent news - ship him off to stevenage reserves.
bye bye Holroyd - you won't be remembered with fondness at the Albion.
Sorry - but you are not & never will be a League 1 player.

I would also agree that Davies was a better player. All relative, one being very poor the other completely shite

I can't see him playing much at League 2 level, Conference or Conference South would have been a better move for him tbh.

No, League Two for a stint is the right approach. This time last season he was showing he had too much for the Conference defences, so there is no point him going back there again, let alone lower.

Hope he does well. He needs to regain smoe confidence and rediscover his eye for goal. Who knows, he might be needed towards the end of the season, and I'd rather Holroyd had been playing league football if that was the case.

Holroyd or Davies?

Pace - Holroyd
Passing - Holroyd
Finishing - Neither
Technique - Holroyd by a country mile

Off the ball intelligence - Holroyd

Not a problem Brendan. It is the third chapter which is the most insightful!

How many willh Stevenage take to the next away game do you think and all because of this?

Im not sure.

I just hope they have a messageboard similar to this so they can all arrange what service stations they are going to stop at.

I'd say Davies had a better touch and eye for goal. Finishing is def Davies which is saying something cos they are both poor but Holroyd's looks awful - not that he shoots often.

Good luck to the lad, but I really think he will not make it at L1 level... hope I'm wrong...

Hope it'll do his confidence some good because reading here won't.

From someone, who has seen everyone of Davies & Holroyd's home games my views are:

Pace: Holroyd
Passing: Holroyd
Finishing: Davies
Technique: Holroyd
Positioning: Davies
Off the ball intelligence: Davies

Trouble is Davies rarely ever looked like scoring.
Holroyd never ever looked like scoring

The better forward by a mile is Davies, who scores 3/10 & Holroyd 1/10

(a) this is a site for opinions
(b) if player's (or anyone else) believe what they read here, then they need their head examined
(c) tough
(d) he has had plenty of chances in our first team and failed to deliver so far
(e) you never know, but I very much doubt he will make the grade, sadly

I would like to think if and when he gets his shooting boots/confidence back at Stevenage he could do well at Brighton.
I think there was a certain player with the name of Ritchie Barker who started poorly at the Albion and went on to do well.
I hope he does well!
